A Forgotten Love

AN: Let's see. This is the first fanfic I've ever completed. So, go easy on me kay? I have tons of other ones I've started... Okay, this takes place after Sailor Moon R. Hope you like, and please review! Authors need to have a smile.
"Please Darien. I really hate heights." Serena whined. Darien gazed down at the petite girl that was leaning against him. His princess. His love. His life.
"Oh, Serena. You can fight the negaverse, over come death, yet you can't handle a roller coaster?" Darien said. Serena looked up at him with tears in her eyes.
"Please Darien..." She whispered. Darien nodded silently. Serena had been acting so weird lately. Ever since she left. Renee. Their future daughter. At that point Serena had pulled on this mature act, but now that she's back in the future, and there isn't any immediate threat towards Earth, Serena seems to not only have dropped her mature act, but her entire personality has gone out of whack. Darien guided her to a small bench in the park and sat her down.
"Serena, what's wrong?" Darien asked.
"What do you mean?" Serena asked slowly.
"You haven't been yourself lately." Serena looked down. How could she tell him?
"Its just...nothing." Serena stood up. "I think I'll go home now." She turned and walked away from him. Darien couldn't find it in him to follow her. What was wrong?
Serena walked down the familiar sidewalk towards her house. She felt guilty for leaving Darien alone like that. In fact extremely guilty. But how could she explain it to him?? Since Darien's nightmares had made the two of them drift apart, they made a pact to keep no secrets form each other. Well, no big ones anyway. But how could she tell him? Her dreams didn't make sense. They were just nightmares. And Serena prayed every night that they would go away. But they never did. And Serena was terrified of them. As she neared her house, Serena slummed into a state of depression. She knew they would return. Serena looked up to the moon, and made a silent prayer to be rid of her nightmares. But as Serena crawled into her bed, she knew that her prayer had been ignored.
~ A whisper filled the air. A light breeze brushed past the angel. There she stood alone by the ocean. Her long flowing gown swayed beside her golden hair. Her clear blue eyes scanned the ocean which she saw from the cliff where she stood. A whisper entered her ears, and she turned to see the cause. Behind her stood her love. Her prince. A gentle smile played on her lips. He held her close, and told her that he would never let her go. He turned and walked back towards the way he came. Smiling the angel hurried to follow. But she could not. The cliff claimed her soul, and drove her down the edge. At the bottom, the cold ocean rolled over her limp body. The fallen angel heard her love's yell from above. She knew she would see him again in this life. A blessing. But she would not remember. She would forget her love and her life. A curse. The angel was alone forever.~
Serena jumped awake and sat panting in her bed. Luna stirred but remained asleep. Serena felt tears fall down her cheeks. It wasn't just a dream. Serena didn't know why, but she knew it was a vision. Of a fate to come. He had promised not to let her go. Yet he did. She would never remember the love they shared. Serena was terrified of not remembering Darien. But she didn't want to hurt him. She didn't want for him to look into her eyes everyday, and see no recollection.
"Darien..." Serena whispered.

"I honestly don't know." Darien admitted. Amy slummed her shoulders slightly.
"We were just hoping, you'd know. She tells you more then she tells us sometimes. To tell you the truth Darien, I'm really worried." Darien looked down into Amy's eyes. "She gets jumpy really easy. She refuses to sit in her usual spot by the window. She has ALWAYS sat by the window in class. We had a field trip to the Starlight Tower, but when she heard that we were planing on having a picnic on the roof, she refused to go. Darien, Serena passed up food and a field trip at the same time. Something is wrong."
"I know." Darien and Amy began to head towards the temple. "She hasn't told me yet. I don't know what to do."
"Have you talked to her about it?" Amy asked. Darien nodded. As the two headed up the steps of the Hikawa temple they heard screams from above. They ran the steps two by two. At the top they saw four Sailor Scouts battling a droid. Amy watched as the droid, effortlessly smashed Sailor Venus into a tree. Amy quickly pulled out her transformation pen.
"Mercury Star Power!" She called out after checking for any viewers. In a flash of blue light, Sailor Mercury joined them followed by Tuxedo Mask a few seconds later.
"What is it?" Tuxedo Mask asked. Sailor Mercury scanned it.
"It's a droid." She replied. "It must be a left over one from the negamoon family."
"Well, lets toast it!! JUPITER...THUNDER CLAP....ZAP!!" Sailor Jupiter threw an energy disc at the droid. The droid deflected the attack.
"Let me try! MARS...FIRE....IGNITE!" Sailor Mars blasted fire at it but it did no damage. Sailor Venus, who was back on her feet, got ready to attack.
"VENUS...LOVE CHAIN...ENCIRCLE!!" Sailor Venus wrapped the chain around the droid's neck to hold it still, while Tuxedo Mask threw roses at it. Suddenly the droid freed itself from the chain and lunged at Jupiter. Mars got ready for another attack, but was interrupted by Mercury.
"Don't waste your energy! It's weakness is light!" Sailor Mercury called out.
"That means it's up to you meat ball head." Mars said. Sailor Moon pulled out her scepter, but not quick enough. The droid lunged towards her. Tuxedo Mask, quickly grabbed her before the droid hit Sailor Moon. He landed on the temple's roof and placed Sailor Moon on her feet. Sailor Moon clung to Tuxedo Mask.
"Please, take me off the roof!" She wailed.
"There's no time!" Venus called from below.
"I don't want to forget." Sailor Moon whispered.
"Serena..." Tuxedo Mask began impatiently. Sailor Moon took a step back. She didn't want Darien upset with her. She pulled out her scepter. The droid threw an energy ball, the two heros on the roof dodged it. Sailor Moon spun the scepter a bit.
"MOON....SCEPTER....ELIMINATION!" She yelled. The droid vanished into a pile of pale blue dust. Sailor Moon sighed and turned to Tuxedo Mask, who was smiling. Behind him, the energy ball was returning and coming right at him. Sailor Moon, not thinking, pushed Tuxedo Mask out of the way. The energy ball hit her, causing Sailor Moon to lose her balance and fall to the ground. She hit her head hard on a nearby rock. Tuxedo Mask regained his balance and leapt off the temple beside Sailor Moon's limp body, he carefully sat her up, only to see blood slipping from the back of her head.
"Serena?" He gasped.
"You said, you'd never let me go." Sailor Moon whispered.
"I won't" Tuxedo Mask replied.
"I don't want to forget. Don't let me forget. Make me remember. Don't give up, make me remember." Sailor Moon whispered before falling into a state of unconsciousness.

Darien paced back and forth across the hospital's tiles. Four girls and two cats watched him. The sickening smell of antibiotics filled the air, while the five friends waited for the sixth. Amy had her eyes closed and was thinking through her mind what was going on. Lita sat beside her trying to lift everyone's spirits.
"We could have a huge party. Cakes, cookies and ice-cream. Serena would love it!" Lita said with a fake smile. Mina was beside her staring into space with the two cats on her lap. Raye was the last sitting in the row, holding a fashion magazine over her face as if reading, but in reality she was watching the door like a hawk, hoping that Dr. Anderson would walk through at any moment. By now Darien was wearing a hole in the floor from his pacing. He couldn't figure it out. Why had she asked him not to let her forget. Forget what??
"Heights!!" Mina shrieked. "For the past couple of weeks she won't go anywhere with high buildings." Amy zapped back to reality and thought this through.
"She's right. The roller coaster, the window, the Starlight Tower, and Raye's temple. Almost as if she knew..." Amy stopped mid sentence.
"You know, she's been having nightmares ever since Renee left." Luna spoke up.
"About what?" Darien quickly asked.
"I'm not sure. She didn't talk about them. She'd just wake up and say things like she didn't want to forget, or that she didn't want to be alone." Luna sighed. "Why didn't I ask her?
We might have been able to prevent this. Oh, it's all my fault." Luna muttered.
"No it's not." Artemis said. "No one could have known." Darien looked down. He should have known. She meant everything to him. He should have known. Serena had been able to tell right away that something was wrong when he had nightmares about her dying. She kept asking and prodding then. But he had given up. He gave up. Darien's thoughts of self pity were interrupted when Dr. Anderson came into the waiting room.
"What's wrong?"
"Can we see her?"
"Is she going to be okay?"
"How bad is it?"
Dr. Anderson was flooded with a million questions at once. Amy was the first to get control of herself. "Mom, is she okay?" She asked quietly. Dr. Anderson looked down at her daughter then at the other girls and Darien.
"Well, she lost a lot of blood. Physically she's okay. But mentally...no. Serena has amnesia."
"Oh my gosh." Mina whispered in shock. "You mean she can't remember anything?"
"Well, she remembers who she is, and her family, school, stuff like that. But, when I mentioned you guys out here, she looked blank." Dr. Anderson replied. Darien's heart fell. She didn't remember him? This was not happening! He just wanted to wake up and discover that this was all a nightmare. But, deep down, he knew, there was no escape from this dream. It was reality.
"Can we see her?" Raye asked.
"Well, right now, her family is in there. Look, Serena doesn't have complete amnesia, so it's possible she will remember you over time. The thing is, with this type the memories aren't erased, they're just buried. Deep down, she might not want to dig them back up. Although she might not remember you, if she sees you, she'll remember pain. That's what she first saw with Sammy, but she quickly got over that. See, if any of you have hurt her in any way in the past, even just teasing or things like that, Serena will only feel that pain. She won't remember the happy times. You have to make her remember. You have to get her to see past the hurt, and allow her to see the good. This means that she may remember all of you quickly, one at a time, or never at all. It's really hard to say. But to answer your question, you can't see her here. She'll be out by tomorrow though. You can see her at school. Best of luck." Dr. Anderson quickly walked down the hallway, leaving some heartbroken friends to watch her go. With no reason to stay, the girls walked slowly home. Darien left shortly after. He headed over to the only friend he could talk to right now. He entered the Crown Arcade.
"Hi, Andrew." He sat down at the bench. Andrew leaned over.
"Lita was in here. I heard about Serena. Are you okay, I mean you guys were inseparable." Darien looked up into the face of his best friend. Andrew stared right back with deep concern.
"Andrew...I can't do this. I'm going home." Darien stood from his seat and left the arcade. Andrew watched as his best friend left with a frown on his face.
Darien flicked the lights on in his apartment. He walked over to his bed and collapsed. He let his tears fall, welcoming sleep, almost as much as death at this point.
~ Darien walked over to her. "Serena?" He asked "Is that you?" The angel turned around to face him.
"I asked you not to let me forget. You promised. You lied. I didn't want to feel pain anymore."
"Serena, I'm sor..."
"No! I have felt it, and I will not live with it anymore. Out of all my friends, you have hurt me the most. I will remember them. I WANT to remember them. You will only hurt me again."
"When have I hurt you?" Darien whispered, not wanting to hear the answer.
"When? Picture it form my point of view, Darien. A thousand years ago, Princess Serena fell in love with Prince Darien. In a battle on her kingdom, he lost his life. Rather then living without her love she cast herself to the same death, hoping to have that love again. But when they did met again, he didn't love her. He would poke fun at her, call her names, insult her. Make her feel like the lowest creature on the planet. She didn't deserve love, is what he was implying. She fought to protect earth, and unknown to both of them, it was he who fought beside her. But he turned against her. He hurt her physically and emotionally. But he was brainwashed. That was her excuse for him. Then he lost his memories. He was mean all over again. But he had no recollection of their past. That was her excuse for him. But when a small girl fell out of the sky, he admitted that he did not love her. He was not brainwashed and he had all of his memories. Yet, he hated her. She had no excuse for him now. Obviously, there was something wrong with her. Something he didn't love. Did he ever love her? Was it just a game?"
"Serena, you know that..."
"NO! I don't know. And I don't want to have to live through that a third lifetime. Goodbye Darien." She started to walk away.
"SERENA!!" She stopped and turned, her eyes slanted.
"Our love is like a rose, beautiful while in bloom, but it can't last forever. I believe those were your exact words, when you saved me, giving me hope, and then took delight in tearing it to pieces."
"Oh, gosh, no." Darien whispered. Serena walked into the darkness leaving Darien alone. "NO!!!!" ~
Darien shot up from his sleep and looked out the window. If it hadn't been pitch black, you might have caught the tear that rolled down his cheek.

A cold and friendless tide has found you.
Don't let the stormy darkness pull you down.
I'll paint a ray of hope around you,

Serena skipped along the sidewalk. It was as if nothing happened. She was headed towards the crown arcade, hoping that Andrew would be in. She turned the corner, and BOOM. She fell flat on the sidewalk. Not taking notice of her skinned knee she immediately started to apologize to the victim of her klutz attack before opening her eyes.
"It's okay Serena." Serena opened her eyes, to see a warm smile and a hand reached down to help her up. Serena stood up on her own and looked at the young man.
"How do you know my name? Have we met?" Serena asked. Darien's heart sank. How could she not know him. Suddenly he felt sorry for Serena, realizing that she had gone through this many times.
"Serena, it's me Darien." Darien said with hope, that maybe at the mention of his name it would all come back to her. Serena stared blankly at him.
"Yes, well I'm sorry, Mr. Darien." She said slowly then walked around him and into the arcade. Darien followed her.
"Hey Andrew!!" Serena chanted. Andrew looked up to see Serena and Darien. Serena quickly sat down and asked for a double fudge sundae. Darien sat down beside her, pulling his shades on, not wanting anyone to see the hurt in his eyes. She remembered Andrew. Andrew! Why shouldn't she? Last time he remembered Andrew hadn't hurt her like he had. Andrew gazed over at his friend.
"So, uh, Serena, heard you ...had some memory... problems." Andrew said quietly.
"Oh, that's what the doctor said, and I do have small memory blurs. But a lot of things are coming back. Like today in class, I knew I had to be somewhere, like a gut feeling. An hour later it came to me. The arcade! 'Course Miss Haruna , took a spas and gave me detention. But hey, I'm used to it." Serena turned to the cold sundae in front of her and began to consume the ice-cream.
"So...do you...remember everyone?" Andrew asked.
"I think so." Serena answered and thought about it. "Actually, Amy said that all five of us were pretty close. Thing is I can only remember three of them. There's Amy, Lita and Mina, and of course me. I just can't remember the last girl. I told them not to tell her though, I mean, how would she react?"
"Raye." Darien said. Andrew and Serena gazed at him. Serena unconsciously moved a seat down.
"I know that's her name. Actually they're taking me to see her today. She lives at the Hikawa temple."
"Are you nervous?" Andrew asked.
"Should I be?" Serena asked.
"I don't know. Raye can be...well I'm sure you'll remember as soon as you see her." Andrew said with a smile. He glanced over at Darien. This was a weird sight. Normally Darien and Serena had their arms draped over each other. They couldn't get enough of each other. But there was actually a seat between the two. What was going on? Then it hit him. Did Serena remember Darien? Could it be possible that she'd forget Darien, but remember someone like him. Just a small part of her life. He had to find out. "Serena...you said you remember almost everyone?" Serena nodded before taking another huge bite of her ice cream. "Do you remember your boyfriend?" Serena dropped her spoon on the floor. Her mouth hang open.
"I have a boyfriend?" She whispered. "Why hasn't he come up to me yet? Asked me how I am? Doesn't he care?" Serena was practically yelling. "Well, I don't want to know him if he's like that." She said and bent down and picked up her spoon and placed it on the counter. Just then three school girls walked into the Crown Arcade. One was a tall brunette with her hair in a ponytail. She looked strong and had her arms folded with a grin on her lips. Beside her was a shorter, shy girl with short blue hair and a book bag in her hand. The other was a confident blond with her hair pulled back in a red bow. She was eyeing the last of Serena's ice cream. Serena turned back to Andrew.
"Looks like your friends are here." Darien whispered, his shades still in tact. Serena glanced over at him, the turned to the three girls. Throwing a wave back at Andrew, she jumped towards her friends. Andrew waved back and left to serve other customers.
"Hey, Darien, you want to come?" Lita called. Serena widened her eyes. Why were they inviting him? Amy studied Serena's as well as Darien's reactions.
"Why don't you guys go ahead? I'll be there in a second." Once the girls had exited the arcade, Amy turned towards Darien.
"She doesn't remember you, does she?" She whispered. Darien lowered his head and shook it. Amy walked over to the seat beside him.
"Don't worry Darien. You guys were meant to be. You've over come battles, trickery and even death. You've lost your memories. We got you back. We'll get her back too."
"But Amy..." He sighed. "I had a dream last night. She was in there. She told me that I had caused her too much pain and that she didn't want to risk being hurt again. I won't make hurt her again. She doesn't want to remember."
"Darien, remember what she said when she fell. 'She said that she didn't want to forget. She wanted to remember. She didn't want you to give up. She didn't want you to let go.' Darien, a dream doesn't mean much. You have to make her remember. She asked you to."
"Amy, Serena has such a big heart. It's filled with happiness and joy. But she doesn't have room in it for pain. She doesn't have room for me."
"I have seen what Serena's heart is. Darien, her heart is you." Darien raised his head to look at Amy, only to see an empty seat. The arcade doors slid shut and a blue haired girl stepped into the sunshine, heading towards the Hikawa temple.

Serena walked through the park alone. Ever since the accident she always felt slightly alone. Why? Raye had told her that she fell off her temple's roof. She had asked what she was doing. Raye said she was watching the moon. Raye had lied. Dr. Anderson said she had arrived at the hospital around four thirty in the afternoon. She hadn't told Raye that she knew she had lied. She wanted to figure out why. Serena walked through the rose gardens and stopped by a red rose bush. She stared at a red rose.
~FLASH~ Sailor Moon held up her locket towards Prince Darien. Her eyes stared up at him, pleading, begging for him to remember. "Look Darien...it's our locket." She whispered. "Don't destroy it. Remember it's OUR locket, the symbol of everything we shared. All those happy times on the moon. Don't let her take all of that away from us, please Darien!" She begged, her voice raising. "It's me Darien. Princess Serena. I've come to set you free again...just like I promised." Darien, remembering his past, reached out and touched their locket. From behind them the evil Queen charged up a black crystal and threw it at the prince and princess. Prince Darien drew out a rose and threw it at the snake like queen. The black crystal's shreds imbedded deep into the prince as he protected his one true love. The rose struck the Queen.~FLASH~
Serena shook her head, and continued walking. Too many Sailor V games. Serena headed out of the park and back towards her house.
Darien was quickly searching through Serena's desk.
"I know we need to get her memories back, but this is like spying. Let's go." Amy said from her post at the window.
"Amy, you don't know what it's like. You were remembered right away. Serena needs Darien, whether she knows it or not." Raye said from her closet. Darien opened a bottom drawer, and continued to rummage through it.
"Well, okay. But just keep everything the way it was alright?" Amy asked.
"We've been at this for over an hour. Do you think she threw it out?" Mina asked. Luna shook her head.
"Serena spent hours on those pictures. I don't think she'd get rid of them." Luna answered Mina.
"Wait! I found them!" Darien pulled out a stack of pictures that Serena had drown for him. When he had lost his memories, she had made up pictures with the story of the two of them on the moon to get him to remember. Of coarse he had just shrugged it off as a fairy tale, but that was beside the point. Serena had to remember. "Do you think I should tell her? She's afraid of me. I think one of you should." Darien commented a little depressed.
"I vote for Amy." Mina cried. The others agreed, so Amy reluctantly took the pile of hand drawn pictures from Darien. She turned back to the window as something caught her eye.
"Oh, my gosh!! Serena's back!" Amy shirked, (a strange thing to hear from her). The four girls and Darien looked at each other for what to do.
"Back door!!" Lita yelled. They all raced down the stairs, with Lita leading and Amy taking up the rear. One by one they all raced out until...
"Amy!?" Serena yelled. "What are you doing here?" Amy stopped dead in her tracks, half way out the back door. The others outside froze as well. Amy looked at the papers in her hand and stepped back into the house.
"Well, I know how much you like romantic stories, ...so I thought ...I'd share ...this one with you, ...but you weren't here, so..." Amy stuttered.
"Oh. Well, I was in the park. Can you share it now?" Amy nodded. "Yippee!!" Serena chanted. Serena led the way upstairs while Amy followed but not before catching a quick glance behind her. Mina winked and gave her the thumbs up sign. Amy smiled, half reassured, and walked up the stairs towards Serena's bedroom.
"So, Ames, what's the story?" Serena giggled and flopped onto her bed with the bunny and moon cover. Amy smiled at her nick name. She was surprised when Serena had woken up in the hospital and remembered her so vividly. Why her? She had never hurt her. Deep down, as selfish as it may seem, she knew that was the reason. Never had she made her cry, or feel low. Neither had Mina or Lita. She had remembered them. But Raye, took some time. The three girls, determined to make her remember, had brought her there every single day for a week. However, even now, Serena's memories were vague of her. She knew that hurt Raye, but what about Darien? She didn't know him at all. But that's why she was here in the first place.
"Okay, Serena. Over a thousand years ago, all of the planets were united as one. They were known as the Silver Millennium. The head of this happiness and state of harmony was the moon kingdom, ruled over by Queen Serenity. She was training her daughter to follow in her footsteps, but her daughter was always caught up in staring at the earth, for she had fallen in love with a prince from there. Princess Serena and Prince Darien were to one day be married, but their happiness and love was interrupted by an evil queen, set out to destroy the moon kingdom. Her name was Queen Beryl. Prince Darien went to battle to protect his love, but fate had not blessed him, and he died protecting the princess. Not wishing to love without him, Serena threw herself in the energy that had killed her love only moments before. Queen Serenity, finding both her daughter and her future son in law, dead she used the power of the silver crystal to send her and him, as well as all of the fallen people on the moon, to a new future on Earth, hoping that it would be peaceful there, and that they could be happy once more." Amy stopped flipping through the picture and stared at Serena. She was staring of into space.
~FLASH~ Princess Serena looked over the lake. She turned to face her love, shadows playing on his face. She pulled out the object in her hand and handed it to Prince Darien. He took the small star locket and opened it in his gloved hands. It started to play a soft melody. He looked up into Serena's eyes. Her blue eyes were brimming with tears, of hope and joy. He placed a hand on her check and she touched it with her small slender fingers. With a sigh, she leaned over and hugged him tightly. Holding him as if she would never see him again. She might not. Darien was leaving. To fight for her kingdom. And she was afraid. ~FLASH~
Serena's confused and thoughtful eyes, unclouded and she raised her head quickly, startling Amy.
"That's a way romantic story, Ames." Serena said with a fake smile plastered on her lips. "Do you remember? I mean...have you ever heard it before?" Amy asked. Serena bit her lip an thought about it.
"Maybe...." She said softly. Amy nodded and slowly stood up.
"I have to go Serena. Big test tommarow." Amy said. She quickly left the room. Luna crawled from her spot under the bed.
"You don't remember that Serena?" Luna asked. Serena's collective eyes grew huge and she ducked behind her bed. She slowly lifted her head so that her eyes brimmed over the covers.
"A talking cat?!" Serena yelped. "And I haven't ate any sweets at all today!!" Luna looked at Serena carefully.
"Serena..."
"Oh man!!!! The cat knows my name!! Wait a minute. Luna should know my name, I'm her owner. But since when could she talk?!" Serena wailed. Luna's normal proud eyes filled with despair. Serena didn't remember her. That means that...how had she hurt her? All those times complaining how she never took her Sailor job seriously? Nagging to get out of bed? Laughing when she fell? Or...not listening when she was hurt? Luna bent her head. She couldn't look up into Serena's blank eyes. She did the only thing that she could think to do. A habit, most likely piked up by Serena, a motion done when one was scared. Luna fled.

Darien walked back and fourth across the arcade. Andrew eyed him worriedly. Darien was going out of his mind. What could he do? He glanced at his watch again, for the fifth time that minute. Darien took a stool at the counter. Andrew passed him a coke. Darien took it with half a smile.
"She'll remember, Darien." Andrew whispered.
"I don't want her to." Darien whispered back. Andrew looked up at him in shock. "I hurt her, but because I love her, I will not hurt her again. It's my last gift to her." Andrew looked deep into Darien's eyes.
"No...you and Serena had something. Something that I didn't think existed in this world. Your love is too special. You make her remember. If you don't...she'll hate you. I know she will." Andrew said with a dead pan expression on his face. Darien was shocked to see this sort of face on his best friend. It didn't suit him. Darien opened his mouth to argue, but was interrupted by a scream from outside. He knew that scream.
"Serena..." Darien gasped and ran out of the arcade. Outside he came face to face with a large monster holding Serena. It's fiery red hair slicked down it's black back while it's long boney fingers clung around the high school girl's slender neck. Serena's fingers were clawing at the monster's hands, desperately trying to get air into her lungs. The monster turned and faced the gaping Darien behind it. It glared deep into Darien, sending the feeling of spiders legs through his soul.
"I am Droid Septica. I will avenge the nega moon. Sailor Moon, must die." The droid laughed a hideous laugh that Darien strangely found comparable to that idiotic dinosaur's laugh that kids watch on TV.
"I'm...not....Sa...Sailor...Moon" Serena gasped out. The droid looked at her carefully, obviously one that didn't have a high intelligence.
"No one has that hair, 'cept Sailor Moon." Okay, maybe it was smart. "I will kill you for killing the followers of the negaverse." By this time, Darien and the droid with Serena in it's clutches were the only people on the street. Everyone else had vacated the area. Darien lunged at the droid, only to be thrown back by it's free hand. Septica lifted her hand in the air and transformed it into a knife's blade that glimmered in the sun. She brought it closer to Serena's shaking body. "Now...you die!!"
"Not if I can help it!!" Serena's eyes widened. Raye? But when the droid turned Serena discovered that it was not Raye. It was a Sailor Scout. Behind her were three other Sailor Scouts. "Mars...Celestial....Fire....Surround!" Rings of fire bursted towards the droid, knocking Serena to the ground. The Sailor in blue ran over to her.
"Are you alright?" Sailor Mercury asked. Serena turned her head coughing and gasping for air. Everything was a blur. She couldn't think at all. From a corner of her mind she seemed to hear screaming and attack chants. Serena closed her eyes in attempt to stop the endless pain that was flowing through her head.

"Come back to me Darien!!".... "Darien do you remember us? Do you remember the moon kingdom?" .... "Darien!"
"Darien.....DARIEN!!!!" ~FLASH~
Serena opened her eyes quickly. Her frightened eyes scanned the scene. The creepy droid stood over all of her fallen friends. Sailor Mercury was holding on because she hadn't been fighting as long because she helped Serena. Jupiter was attempting to throw punches and kicks at the droid. Venus and Mars were already down as well as Darien. Serena blinked back tears and slowly stood up. "You want Sailor Moon?" She whispered. The two scouts and the droid turned to face the new voice.
"Serena?" Jupiter whispered.
"You got her!!" Serena finished. She held her crystal in the air. "MOON CRYSTAL POWER!!" In a flash of pink ribbons and white feathers, a new warrior stood before them. Sailor Moon wasted no time, by lifting her scepter into the air, "Moon...Scepter....Elimination!!"
The droid was easily dusted. Sailor Moon gazed over at her fallen friends. Without hesitation she lifted her crystal and whispered a phrase to heal her fallen comrades. The light from her crystal seeped into the injured pores of the warriors. The light not only healing them but bringing their minds back to reality. Venus smiled brightly when she saw Sailor Moon standing, but her smile faded when her close friend fell to the ground in a state of unconsciousness.

Let this candle guide you.
Soon you'll see a golden stream of light.

"The crystal does that." Amy said sadly.
"I just don't understand. She should have kept her energy." Raye commented. The five friends crowded into the small hospital room. Serena lay on the bed, deathly pale. Her hair was slightly messed, and it fell gently over the bed. An Iv pierced into her arm that lay lifeless by her side. The constant beeping informed everyone that she was in fact alive, although her appearance suggested otherwise.
"But...there's a good chance that any regained memories she got, are now gone." Amy said looking out the window as the rain pored down.
"How will we know?" Raye asked quietly.
"We'll just have to wait." Amy replied.

A friendless tide has found you.
Don't let the stormy darkness pull you down.
I'll paint a ray of hope around you,
Circling in the air, lighted by a prayer.

"Oh, she's waking up." Dr. Anderson commented. "I'm sure she's fine. I'll leave you guys alone." She said. Amy looked up at her mom thankfully. Serena's eye lids stirred. Darien gazed at his love. He couldn't do it. He couldn't bare to see her blank eyes, with no memory what so ever of who he was. He couldn't. He wouldn't. He pulled out a red rose and left it on her night stand, quickly leaving the room. Serena's eyes slowly opened to see a black figure disappear from the room. The sweet smell of flowers invaded her nose. She saw the rose and quickly sat up. Her four friends stared at her with caution. Serena looked around. Suddenly realization hit her. Hard. She threw back the covers and leapt from the bed. Her arm was pulled back due to the IV. She yelped in pain as the needle tore her skin a little. She ripped it from her arm and flew to the door. Her eyes spotted Darien walking down the long hall way slowly. She ran after him. Her long pig tails swayed behind her, and her gown fluttered as she ran.
Darien neared the elevator. He swallowed. This was it. He had to give up his princess. His love. His life. What would he do? Could he bare living if he ever saw Serena with another guy. Another man, tickling her, walking in the park, bringing her roses, kissing her soft lips...A small crystal tear trickled down his cheek unnoticed. He heard a soft gasping noise coming from down the hall.
She was almost there. 'Don't let him get on that elevator' she pleaded to herself. Suddenly Darien turned around. Frightened she stopped running. Serena and Darien stood three meters apart. Serena was panting for breath for she was low on energy. Darien's watery eyes filled with a small trace of hope. Serena took one small step foreword, then leapt into Darien's arms. Darien couldn't believe this. Serena was in his arms again. He closed his eyes and prayed it wasn't a dream. Serena looked up at him.
"You lied," She whispered. Darien looked deep into her eyes.
"Never again."
"Don't let me go."
"Never again." He repeated.
~ Her prince was by her side in an instant. He gazed deep into the eyes of the fallen angel. "I will not forget." He whispered into her ear. "You will not forget." He wrapped his strong arms around the angel. The angel felt the cold frightened feeling she had experienced only moments before, melt away. She felt warm and safe. She felt loved. She didn't feel alone. And she knew, they both knew, that they would never feel that again.~

Disclaimer: Okay, lets see, you all know I do not own Sailor Moon, cuz if I did, do you think I'd be sitting here getting kicks outta writing fanfics. Don't think so.. Yadda yadda yadda. I don't own the song "I'll be your candle on the water." It is from Disney's "Pete's Dragon" The words and music were written by Al Kasha and Joel Hirschhorn. Alright, buh bye.
