| The Methuss was the first transformable mobile suit developed by Anaheim Electronics and the AEUG resistance group. Originally created as a simple testbed for the Zeta Gundam's transformation mechanisms, the Methuss was subsequently assigned to the AEUG flagship Argama and sent into combat. During the struggle against the Titans, it's piloted first by Reccoa Londo and then by pilot trainee Fa Yuiri. As a mobile suit, the Methuss is a rather poor performer. Its firepower is limited to two built-in beam guns, and its exposed transformation mechanisms make it highly vulnerable in close combat. However, in its mobile armor mode, the Methuss makes an excellent attack fighter. This latter feature is one reason the Methuss remains in service through the end of the Gryps conflict. The other reason is that it's remarkably easy to repair - no matter how many times enemy pilots trash the Methuss, the Argama's mechanics always have it back in one piece by the next episode. |
