| The Rick Dias is an attack mobile suit developed by Anaheim Electronics and the AEUG resistance organization. Since its armor is made from lightweight Gundarium Gamma alloy, the Rick Dias can carry more weapons and propellant than other post-One Year War mobile suits, while remaining agile and maneuverable. Though it was developed under the codename "Gamma Gundam," the Rick Dias's external appearance is more reminiscent of the Principality of Zeon's heavy mobile suits, thanks to the Zeon backgrounds of Anaheim's engineers. Its primary weapon is a Clay Bazooka, so named because it was originally designed to fire immobilizing adhesive rounds, and two small beam pistols are stored on its back. On March 2, UC 0087, the AEUG flagship Argama dispatches three Rick Dias units to attack the Titans' Gryps stronghold. As the conflict escalates, the AEUG continues to develop and capture additional mobile suits, but the Rick Dias team remains a vital part of its fighting forces. Though its membership changes over time, the Argama's Rick Dias team is usually made up of three veteran pilots. After ace pilot Quattro Bajina (an incognito Char Aznable) leaves the team, his red personal colors are used for all subsequent Rick Dias units. |
