| This final version of the Qubeley was developed by rebellious Neo Zeon officer Gremmi Toto, for use by his "Newtype Corps" of Elpe Puru clones. While basically identical to the mobile suits used by Haman Khan, Elpe Puru, and Puru Two, the mass production type boasts higher firepower than its predecessors. Its expanded funnel container houses 30 remote-controlled funnels, and it's also equipped with a pair of back-mounted "active cannons" which can swivel forward and fire over the mobile suit's shoulders. Gremmi's Newtype Corps, consisting of six or seven Mass Production Type Qubeleys, enters combat at the very end of the first Neo Zeon conflict. They make their first appearance on January 14, UC 0089, sporting the standard pallid colors of Gremmi's forces, and are subsequently repainted in the same dark hues as the AMX-004-2 Qubeley Mark II. On January 17, the Newtype Corps squares off against Neo Zeon loyalist Chara Soon, and its remaining members are apparently wiped out. |
