| An experimental mobile suit developed to be the "ultimate heavy armored" unit, the New Earth Federation's NRX-010 Gabul was a true behemoth, being twice as tall and three times as heavy as an average mobile suit. Its armor was extremely thick, making it impervious to most light weapons fire. In addition to its armor, the Gabul was equipped with a pair of beam deflection field generators in its shoulders. These generators created a field capable of absorbing or deflecting any beam weapons fire, making the Gabul not only heavily armored, but in a sense, untouchable. Due to its own weight, the Gabul was not capable of carrying any weapons, instead relying on its own limbs to swat and smash its enemies with brute force. However, the Gabul's unconventional design also proved too limited for mass production, but the prototype was assigned to the Southern Asia front under the care of Shagia Frost and Olba Frost. The Frost brothers recruited New Federation pilot Milra Draido to use the massive Gabul to destroy the Vulture ship Freeden's Gundam Double X mobile suit. Being a psychotic adrenaline junkie, Draido accepted the challenge of taking on his enemy without any weapons, as it would push him to the edge and give him the "rush" he constantly strived for. During that battle, Garrod Ran's Gundam Double X and Witz Sou's Gundam Airmaster Burst were proving ineffective in damaging the Gabul with their beam weapons. However, Roybea Loy's Gundam Leopard arrived on the scene, and using its conventional weapons at extremely close range, it was able to deliver killing blows to Draido and his Gabul. |
