| Originally a Federal Forces cadet, just six months in uniform, Bright finds himself the highest-ranking survivor of the White Base crew after the surpise attack on Side 7. Rising to the occasion, he proves himself a superb captain and leader, with a stiff British reserve and a swift backhand for disobedient pilots. Bright's military background and no-nonsense temperament place him at odds with his crew of civilian recruits, but eventually he begins to loosen up a little. Zeta Gundam After the end of the One Year War, Bright marries White Base pilot Mirai Yashima and fathers two children. Remaining in the Federal Forces, he is given an unglamorous post as captain of the space shuttle Temptation. After tangling with the ruthless Titans, Bright attempts to use his shuttle to smuggle civilian hostages to safety. Rescued from Titans pursuit by the AEUG flagship Argama, Bright joins the resistance group and takes over as the Argama's captain. Gundam ZZ Following the death or disappearance of most of the Argama's pilots, Bright soldiers on as captain of the AEUG flagship, teaming up with a new batch of troublemaking civilians. During the difficult and thankless struggle against the Axis Zeons, Bright is further vexed by the attentions of Emily Ounce, flirtacious captain of the dock ship La Vie En Rose. Char's Counterattack When the AEUG is dissolved, Bright returns to the ranks of the Federal Forces as commander of the Londo Bell taskforce. From the bridge of the battleship Ra Cailum, he monitors the space colonies for anti-Federation insurgency, and takes the lead in the fight against Char Aznable's Neo Zeon movement. |
