| The central concept of Solstice is the concept of Reverse flow a shorthand term for an important central theme. What that means is this. Humans, trapped as we are in the ambient cultural assumptions and conditioning of our upbringing naturally S-U-C-K-.(!) All year long we take in oxygen, food, love, shelter, warmth, support, praise, pleasure, sex, etc. etc., everything which we can devour we devour. We are the Blue Meanies in the Beatles movie Yellow Submarine. Not that this is a bad or an unnatural thing, Its just human but of course, like the Blue Meanies eventually we suck ourselves in as well.....Spend a little time thinking about it---- all our social, psychological ( and thus physical ) problems stem from this tendency. The dream of solstice is that for three days we can reverse this flow. |
