The room was darkly lit by the moonlight shining through the white drapes. Two figures were sleeping soundly on the big king sized bed in the center of the room. Soft almost inaudible snores emerged from the braided man who was snuggled up against the other mans strong torso.
Suddenly, a streak of light emerged from the door as it was slowly opened. A figure stood still at the door and watched the two sleeping forms. Approaching the bed, it reached out and lightly shook the shoulder of the long haired man.
"Daddy, wake up!" Duo, who was still deep in his slumber, couldn't hear his daughter's plea. Stirred by the movement of Duo's body against his own, Heero cracked one eye open and observed the intruder. It took a moment for his sight to adjust to the little light that flooded the bed.
"Trinity what are you doing?" He asked annoyed. The girl started. She immediately looked up and met her father's dark blue eyes seeming to be black in the dim room. "I-I couldn't sleep. I'm so tired, but I can't sleep. Can I sleep here?"
Heero took a minute to consider the girls request. "Hn" He finally replied, and got up to get him and Duo some boxers. His movements woke the other man.
"Hn-Wha-Wharse?! Wherse you goin?" He mumbled with sleep. "Daddy I'm sleeping here with you and papa." He turned around startled only to find a hardly visible face looking at him. "Trin?!?! Why're you not sleepin?"
"I can't sleep. I don't know why." Duo sat up and lifted his daughter putting her on the bed. "You're just excited, thas all." He shot her a lopsided grin, but promptly plopped back down with his face in the pillow. Not a moment later he felt an object of some sort hit his back.
"Put this on."
Struggling to pull himself in a seated position, Duo looked at the boxers Heero had thrown at him. He shot Heero, who was getting settled next to Trinity, a confused look. "Just put it on."
"But..."
"Duo..."
"OK..." Duo got out of bed and pulled up his boxers. Returning to bed, he promptly fell back to sleep with their daughter and her teddy in between them.
