Ons Leven Part 13
Author's note: This is a yaoi fic between Heero and Duo. It has male pregnancy so be warned.

Heero quietly observed the man seated next to him. Very different from himself, Duo lively engaged in the many conversations at their table. The American possessed a strange aura that naturally leads people to him. The ladies from the table next to them giggled as Duo explained one of his many humorous adventures.
By this time, the lights in the ballroom had dimmed, and only the soft candles on the many tables lit the room. The braided man turned to look at his solemn partner seated next to him. He softly smiled and leaned closer to the other man.
"Are you having fun?" He whispered.
Heero thought for a moment. With the soft lighting, Duo looked very beautiful. As a new song started, he got up and gently placed his hand on Duo's shoulder. After excusing Duo and himself from the table, he led the other man to the dance floor.
As he drew the American close and began to sway, a silence spread through the room. The gentle music and soft cleaning of the waiters filled the silent room as everyone observed the two people on the dance floor.
Duo felt a bit uncomfortable as he felt the obvious stares from their surroundings. "Heero, everyone's staring at us." The American whispered.
The silent man tightened the embrace as he placed a soft kiss on Duo's neck. The American closed his eyes and smiled, "I'm very ha ~"
His eyes snapped open as a growing pain spread through his body. Unable to support himself, Duo slumped and leaned into his husband. Unprepared for the sudden action, Heero merely watched as the American fell to the floor.
As the music stopped, noise spread through the room and many people walked towards the American on the floor. Heero knelt down and firmly grabbed the other man's shoulders. "Duo? Duo! What's wrong?" Before he could answer, the braided man felt another wave of unbearable pain spread through his body. This time Duo let out a loud cry before completely passing into unconsciousness.
As a sea of panic spread through the room, many people surrounded the two at the center of the floor. Zechs and Treize could only watch as the normally quite and unemotional man shoved and screamed while holding the unconscious form of the braided other.
In the distance, Hilde stood stunned. ::This can't be!::
She could feel Relena close in on her from behind. "You know what they say, if you want it done right, you have to do it yourself."
As realization sank in, Hilde's eyes widened and she swiftly turned to look at the blond. "You put it in his SOUP?!?" Relena smiled, "No, I didn't think you were even going to give him your soup."
She moved to look at the scene. "I knew you would betray me, so I excused myself from the table and placed it in his food. Now, we can both relax and let the work complete itself."
The dark haired girl could only stare as the blond smiled to the panicked man at the center of the room. "You're crazy!" With that she turned to move to the dance floor. The blond quickly grabbed her and pulled her back. "Don't you dare! You're as much a part of this as me!"
Hilde shoved the grip from her arm. "Don't touch me, you're mad!" She ran to where the paramedics were trying to awaken the unconscious man and grabbed Heero. "Heero listen. Calm down. It's nothing more than some Sodium Phosphate. He's drugged but he'll be ok. I'm~"
The girl yelped as the man grabbed her firmly by her arm and pulled her to the ground. "He's what?!?!" The girl yelped as Heero tightened his grip on her arm. "He's with child! He can't even have alcohol! What have you done?"
For a moment, the girl was stunned. She wasn't sure what Heero had meant by that.
::He's with child?::
Heero raised his hand from under Duo and brought it to the girls face. Hilde flinched, but he did not hit her. "He's bleeding!" The woman opened her eyes and froze as she looked at the hand raised near her face. Heero's hand was completely covered and dripping with blood from Duo's pants.
As the paramedics placed Duo onto the cot, Heero threw the girl aside. Stunned and frightened, the girl stared at the large bloodstain on the floor. She looked up just in time to see the emergency team run out of the room with the unconscious body. As she slowly brought her hands to her face, she began to weep bitterly.
