Ons Leven part 10
::What can I do?:: The depressed woman thought as she leaned onto the side of the railing. She had tried to deprive herself of the feelings that haunted her every thought. Sure, she had been angry when she first learned it, but what gave her the right to judge them. After all, it was none of her business. Wasn't it? She wasn't sure if she was more angry at Duo for luring Heero into such a disgusting sin, or at herself for liking such man.
::He was being awfully nice to me:: She reasoned ::But that bastard was only trying to get into my pants. Just like he did to Heero!::
She sighed as she couldn't help but reason. ::But it really seemed like he was only being friendly. He seemed very sweet and gentle:: The woman clenched her fists, ::or maybe that's just his way of winning people's trust::
She was still so deep in thought that she couldn't dodge the nervously searching woman approaching her. As the two women made contact Hilde was harshly pushed back falling flat on the hard tile of the floor. "What on earth?" She said as she looked up.
"Have you seen Heero? Please tell me you've seen him! I want to go to the party with him." The girl known as Relena Peacecraft wailed. Hilde blinked confused. ::For such a rich girl she sure could learn how to apologize.::
"Hello?!? Have you seen him?" Relena said as she knelt down in front of the other woman and roughly shook her by the shoulders. "No Miss Relena." The woman said as she brushed the frantic girl of off her and stood.
Relena raised her voice to an ear piercing shriek as she cried in her hands. "WHY?!?! I LOVE HIM SO!! Why can't I find him!"
Hilde looked at the girl and slowly backed away. ::I don't need this, not now:: At this the nervous girl stopped her wailing and looked at the retreating figure of the other woman. For a moment she blinked confused. She wasn't used to that behavior towards her. Usually, if something was wrong with her, there would be people lined up to come to her rescue. She wiped off her tears and shot an angry glance at the back of the woman. Resting both her hands on her hips she made her discomfort known. "How dare you walk away when someone else is in trouble!"
Hilde stopped. Was this girl serious? Here she was worrying about a fellow worker when all this girl wanted was to see a man that was clearly not interested in her. She slowly turned around as she heard the blonde near her with her all too high heels. The other woman's baby blue eyes bore into her with frustration. "I'm asking you an important question and all you can do is walk away?! How rude! If you had something bothering you I would help!"
Both women stared at one another. Hilde was a little confused. In her current state of mind she had too much to think of to clearly understand what Relena was saying. But she did pick up one thing. Relena was willing to help. ::Maybe she can knock some sense into me and my ridiculous thoughts of revenge::
"Well, there is one thing bothering me..." She began. Relena's eyes widened as she observed the other girl. ::With all the nerve. I came to her first and now she's putting her troubles on my shoulder?!?!::
"You see, it's about Heero and..."
This zapped something in the blonde's head. "WHAA~AAT!!" She jumped onto Hilde grabbing her firmly by the shoulders. "What! What! What about Heero? Is he ok? Oh my God!!!"
Hilde was bewildered. ::What is this girl?:: "Yes he's ok. Well, for now. I mean~"
"For now?!?! Why? What will happen to him? Tell me, tell me, tell me!!" Relena continued. Hilde sighed. It was to late to turn back now so she invited the frantic girl back to her room where she told her story.
