| << The night of the ball was very stressful for the already weakened King. He sat on his throne as he observed the various women trying to capture Heero's attention. The young prince wanted nothing more than to go to his chamber and be alone. He treated all the women with perfect well-trained etiquette, but clearly did not want to be there. Heero danced with all the women, kissed many hands, and even escorted some ladies across the ballroom. But not once that evening did he smile or show any interest at all. The King believed that if he were to choose a bride he'd have to base it on the interest of the girl, since his son showed perfect indifference to all the women. He noticed one girl in particular, the very beautiful blond princess of Sank Kingdom. He knew her father as having the only other pacifist Kingdom aside from his own. The young princess was not much younger than his son, between the age of eighteen and twenty. He first noticed her for her extreme perseverance. She had haunted the Young Prince all night, and though he eventually ignored her, she had continued her hunt till the Prince had actually begun to listen to her. ::She's the one:: The King signaled one of his advisors. "Get me the name of the young lady talking at my son." A minute later the man came back handing the King the name. That evening, when all was about to come to an end, the ballroom had gone silent as all young women waited eagerly for the chosen bride. Looking onto his son the King hoped that Heero had already chosen a bride. He did not want to force a woman onto the Prince, but there was no more time for waiting. "Friends you all gather here tonight to offer your hand in marriage to my son, Heero Yuy. I thank you all for your presence. Today I will choose the bride for my son." The King glanced to the many women. "Will Princess Relena Peacecraft please step forward." All turned around as the sound of glass shattering was heard from the very back of the ballroom. Like a parting sea, the mass of guest parted to let the Queen-to-be enter. All sweatdropped as they observed the girls punch stained dress. Apparently, she had been standing near the punch table and upon hearing her name had knocked it over. Heero almost flinched as he saw the girl who was to be his wife. He had never expected his father to pick the most annoying woman, of all, to be his bride. It was too late to change his mind as he would greatly embarrass the Sank Kingdom and his father, but he silently cursed himself for not choosing a bride. ~~~~~~To Be Continued~~~~~~~ Onto part 2 Back Home E-mail comments to: [email protected] |
