Recipient of Most Improved Award
2008 Provincial Powersoccer Tournament

Powersoccer is an exciting sport played by individuals with many different types of disabilities. Our sport has been played for over 20 years and is currently being played here in BC , Quebec, Ontario, the United States, Europe and Asia.
Players use powerchairs equipped with footguards to manoeuvre a 13-inch soccer ball around other players with the objective of scoring the most goals to win the game. The sport is played in a gymnasium. Each team is allowed 4 players on the court at one time including the goalkeeper.

Who Can Play?
Anyone who uses a power wheelchair is eligible to play Powersoccer. All players must be 5 years of age or older and have the ability to operate their chair safely.

Equipment
A power wheelchair and a specially designed foot guard are necessary to participate in the sport of Powersoccer. The foot guard is used to manoeuvre the ball as well protect the wheelchair and player. (More)
