My wonderful Dad, he was born in Tracadie,
New Brunswick, his Dad was of Irish decent
His Mother, of scottish decent, her maiden name was Drisdell, Dad was 6 ft. tall and weighed 200 lbs. and not one ounce of fat , huge bones and humongus hands, he and is brother Ambrose, left home at the age of 12 years old, and amongst all of this is a puzzle,
I dont know if its because at that time they could not read or write, a mistake happened, and I for one thinks that is why,
You see is Father's last name was McGraw
and for some unknown reason, they are the only two , out of a big family , that ended having their last name as Mc Grath,
Plus the fact that is great grandfather from
Ireland was Mc Graw, so I will let you figure that one out , I havent had time to go on the internet and find out, but I will someday, and fill you in on the news okay
My dear Mother , her maiden name is
( Lachance ) and she came from Lapasse a lovely spot 90 miles from here , her Dad , owned a farm there, where all her siblings were born.
She was always proud to say im just a tidbit
from 5 ft tall , she had a heart of gold , I think she fed everyone who needed it or not in Iroquois falls , and Dad never said boo) about it!!
They were married on July 26, 1936
and although , they have left us , We all cherish, the memories, good or bad , and I for one misses them so!
but not too fear we will all meet very soon, it seems, boy we are all getting up there,
Anyway that is the only picture I have at ther moment,I was three months old at the time
