You finally have to change tables because some old gambling degenerate that smells like garbage is sitting next to you.   He keeps babbling on and on about some horse that he bet on back in 1987.  You dont like listening to him and the smell is flat out repulsive.

You get a phone call from one of your buddies back home at about 1 AM.  Hes out bar-hopping and spending the ridiculous amount of money hes making at his summer internship.  Youre sitting next to a guy who actually refers to clubs as Clovers and has one of the worst rope beards youve ever seen.  This guy clearly doesnt belong here.

You dont catch any good cards for 30 minutes so your mind begins to wander.  You start to think about how expensive cigarettes are in New Jersey.  Soon youre trying to visualize how many cartons you think you could fit in your trunk to bring with you next time.  It seems rational, its only a misdemeanor if you get caught not like a felony or anything.

But wait a minute, youre a professional poker player why would you hassle yourself with smuggling cigarettes?  Youve become a leechYoure constantly looking for angles to play and small edges to exploit.  Its seeped into your personality too.  Youve got plenty of friends, but not ones that would trust you with their money.  You meet plenty of girls, but not ones that would trust you in a relationship.

You see poker is a negative sum game.  The house takes money out of every pot.  Its impossible for everyone to break-even.  The books will tell you thats why 90% of people that play poker are losers.  However, they neglect to mention that most profitable poker players are losers too.

Lets seem them run that slogan on ESPN.
