I loved this Sh game as much as I did SH2. The areas you got to explore were a little different, but there's always that same hospital you get to go to in every Silent Hill game (the hospital still pretty much freaks me out -- come on, wouldn't you be a little shocked if nurses were running around with guns and steel pipes?) Interestingly enough, the game doesn't begin in Silent Hill. It starts out in Heather Morris's (main character) hometown, and everntually moves to Silent Hill later in the story.Unlike Silent Hill 2, your easiest level to start out on is Easy, and you have to be killed a couple of times (number depending on your action level) to obtain Beginner Mode in Extra Options. One thing to remember while playing this game:

Curiousity killed the cat.

Graphics: 9.9/10
The graphics.. awesome. Even though here and there you can still see the corner of a polygon, everything is almost perfect. In-game also has facial expressions, which is pretty neat. If you're trying to find something specific, it's not hard if you take a good look around. The areas you explore in the game are deep, so don't be suprised if you find yourself in one of them in your dreams.

Music: 10/10
  First off: The soundtrack
comes with the game. None of that running out and searching all over the friggen place crap. Point number two: The music can scare the living bejeezus out of you. Don't listen to the soundtrack at 3:00AM while you're outside, or you might just freak out and never get to sleep.
....
It's fun to scare your friends on the phone with it too.

Story: 10/10
(SPOILER!)
SH3 can be considered part 2 of Silent Hill. On top of that, if you've never played Silent Hill, this is one of those games where you can just pick it up, play it, and get right into the story without having to know any information about the first one. The outcome is great and shocking, and, as always, the game has a couple different endings (3 that I know of -- might be more)

Overall: 10/10
I would have to say, this is one of the greatest games you'll ever come across. If you're looking for a scary good time, and something to all around screw with your head, you'll like this game. And hey, you even get to kick enemies when they're down. What other games give you that pleasure?
....
.........
And you get a light saber and a flamethrower if you're that damn good.
