The next morning Detective Wise is up at first light to go back over the crime scene to see if there is anything she may have missed.  But before getting to the actual scene, she stops at the Ridgetop Lodge to ask some questions of those there.  She first asks Barbra Olstad (Hope 90) if she noticed anything odd the previous day.  Barbra tells her that Paul Woodland (Rhode Island) had noticed something unusual just around noon.  Apparently there had been the sound of a vehicle in the south canyon of the Highland mountain, just below the lodge a ways.  Barbra finds Paul and he tells the detective what he noticed and that there was little reason for anyone to be in that area since it is mostly just woods.  He remembers that the only thing that is in that canyon is an old hunters cabin that has fallen into disuse over the years and abandoned.  Eileen decides to check out this possible new lead instead of the crime scene and Paul offers to accompany her.  Barbra waits at the lodge for Nicole to return from a trip to town to get supplies and is asked by the detective to call for the sheriff if they are not back within a few hours.

Meanwhile, back at the Jasonville Sports Center, winter sports manager Lisa Bouvier prepares to lead children of several ages in practice for a special ice skating performance for the upcoming festival.  Some of the children are from Elizabeth Springers school and others are from Jasonville high accompanied by Principal Princess.  Karleen Euclid, the sport centers owner is also present overseeing the practice and seems quite excited about the nearing arrival of her cousins Marie and Roxanne Sunset from California.  The children ask why Ms. Springer isnt there like she promised, and not wanting to worry the children Lisa tries to keep a positive demeanor telling them she wanted to be, and asks the children to work extra hard so that Ms. Springer will be so very proud of them when she gets to see how beautifully they skate at the festival.  Though the children seem placated by this, the women exchange glances of knowing concern and silently pray for Elizabeths safe return.

Back on the mountain by the Lodge, Eileen and Paul take an old overgrown trail leading to the old cabin and surprisingly find that there is a thin stream of smoke coming out of the chimney.  Upon investigating they see that all the windows are boarded up and they cannot see inside.  The front door is bolted as well from the inside.  Upon their investigation they can hear some movement inside the cabin but no sign of any means of transportation around it.  Having Paul stand back from the door, Eileen knocks firmly and in a commanding voice tells whomever is inside to open up.  There is a sudden flurry of activity that can be heard from within followed by what sounds like muffled screams!  Eileen, thinking quickly, slams herself into the door to break it down, only to find she cannot do it alone.  Paul rushes to help her and after several attempts, the door finally gives way.  As the two of them rush inside, the sound of a vehicles motor pierces the air from several  dozen yards behind the cabin.  Eileen quickly bolts out the door and rounds the back of the cabin just in time to see an ATV with an attached cart on the back heading down a seldom used fire road, the driver dressed only in black with a hood on but obviously a woman.  A moment later, the vehicle and driver are gone and only the fading sound of the ATVs engine can be heard.  Thinking quickly she grabs her radio to call for backup only to find that the ravine walls are blocking the signal.

Eileen and Paul check the cabin and in a closet they find Elizabeth Springer (Hopeless Grace) tied to a chair and unconscious.  The closet is dark, cramped and covered with dust and cobwebs with a pile of firewood in the back corner.  Eileen asks Paul to help her get Elizabeth out into the cool, open air.  Elizabeth seems unharmed but looks as though she has been gagged and tied for some time.  Once they get Elizabeth untied and outside in the crisp, cool air, she comes to momentarily, only to apparently have lost her memory of the past events from shock and trauma due to her fear of tight confined spaces.  She stays conscious only for a short time.  Eileen asks Paul to stay with Elizabeth while she investigates the cabin further and finds only one palpable clue, a single glass with a clear set of fingerprints.  They manage to get Elizabeth back to the lodge and an EMT arrives and takes her back to the hospital for any precautionary treatment needed.

Later that day at the Claremont Inn, Stacy Claremont is being interviewed by Lynn McKenzie about the plans for the upcoming hot chocolate festival.  Anne Ellen is also present as she was rehearsing for a performance for the festivities to be held at the Claremont.  Anne is also a part of  the interview with Stacy.  The ladies are a bit somber as they too are aware of the abduction of Elizabeth S.   As the interview is being conducted they see a woman they believe to be Georgina Doe enter.  They call out to her but as the woman turns to face them they realize that it is not Georgina but a woman who looks quite similar to her.  The woman introduces herself as Lee Copenhagen and says she wishes to check in for the week and then some for the upcoming festival.  Stacy tells Lee that they will help her at the desk and after Lee parts the women marvel at the similarities of this woman to Georgina.  As they are discussing this Elizabeth G. (who has been staying at the Inn) hastily enters informing the ladies that Elizabeth S. has been found and rescued from her kidnapping and is unconscious but unharmed at the Hospital.  The ladies are all relieved and overjoyed at the news.  Ms. Glenwood runs to her room to retrieve a few things then heads out with the others to the hospital.

At the hospital Dr. Marie Route is checking Elizabeths vitals when she starts to come around.  Elizabeth seems confused at first and begins asking how she got here.  Dr. Route asks her what is the last thing she remembers before waking up.  Elizabeth tries and seems to struggle with the effort but says the last thing she can recall is walking in the cool autumn air up on the Ridgetop.  In a soothing voice Dr. Route tells Elizabeth that shes going to be fine and that she has some visitors to cheer her up.  She exits and meets Noelle, Laura and Wayne and Eileen who are in the waiting room.  After a brief discussion with them of Elizabeths condition she allows them to visit her and Laura especially rushes in to see her.  Laura gives her a big tearful hug followed by Noelle and Wayne.  Elizabeth seems bewildered at their concern and begins asking why they seem so concerned and wonders what has happened.  They are all cautious about springing things on her too fast and together they calmly explain what had transpired.  Eileen of course tries to see if she has any recollection to help catch the perpetrators but to no avail.  She informs Elizabeth that she is doing everything she can to catch the assailants and is even now running some fingerprints found on a glass through the computer database as they are not Elizabeths prints.  Upon hearing about the glass Elizabeth seems to have a slight headache and everyone gets concerned.  She suddenly asks about Lynden and asks if someone can call for him to come see her.  She tells her friends that shes not sure why, but she feels the need to see him.  Laura and Noelle stays with Elizabeth while Eileen and Wayne go off to call or find Lynden.

Shift to the real estate office of Joy Willow where she and Mayor Nicole Hester are discussing possibilities of the city purchasing a plot of land for the creation of a new arts center and museum.  The ladies are discussing this when they see Lynn Bridge coming out of the bus depot across the street.  Nicole gets up and opens the door, calling out to Lynn.  Lynn seems edgy, but comes over to see what the mayor wants.  The mayor first asks how Lynns trip to see her friends went and then tells her the news about Elizabeths abduction and rescue and that she is recuperating in the hospital.  Lynn becomes very concerned on hearing that Elizabeth is in the hospital but seems strangely put at ease when informed that she is fine and is suffering from amnesia of the event due to shock and trauma.  Lynn thanks the ladies and leaves, physically shaken.  The two other women comment on how hard the young girl seems to have taken the news.  Lynn leaves immediately to go to home and then find Lynden.
