The lovely Elizabeth Springer (grace) disappears while hiking with her friend Laura Lynn (Nivyan) in the woods at Ridgetop lodge owned by Ms. Nicole Ridgetop (Xylia). Laura doesn't know what happened though because she mysteriously blacked out during their hike and can't remember anything. When she gets back to the lodge to report her dear friend missing the police show up but not finding Elizabeth they suspect Laura of foul play! They take her in for questioning!
Enter Lynden Dale (Jeremy) the city's cynical and calculating district attorney. He seems convinced that Laura is hiding something and accuses Laura of kidnapping or worse, murder!!! Poor Laura is both scared and grief stricken for her friend as she is detained by police.
Crack shot detective Eileen Wise (Maggie) is called in to investigate the case. She goes back to the scene and finds clues that would suggest that Elizabeth was tied up and dragged off and the only shoeprints were of two women, further implicating poor Laura! But Eileen feels something isn't right! Lynden pushes for a trial on kidnapping charges toward poor Laura!
When Laura's wealthy aunts, Noelle Royalton (Melody), Georgina Doe (Jennie) and her rich uncle Wayne Byron (Anthony) hear about this they hire the best defense attorney in the city, Lannie Ross (Gracie) to defend the case.
Later that evening in a secluded cabin up in the woods near the Ridgetop lodge poor Elizabeth comes to and finds herself tied up! She sees a dark shape sitting in a chair nearby. The person rises from the chair and it is none other than Lynden! "Glad to see you are awake my dear", he says. "I need to find some way to convince you not to go through with your company merger with that wealthy traveler and entrepreneur Elizabeth Glenwood (Noss). That would take you all over the world on business and out of my sight!" "But how is it you! You were in your office all day!" says Elizabeth. And with that in walks Lynn Bridge (Rebecca) her longtime rival. "Well, we worked that out together", says Lynn while kissing Lynden on the cheek. Lynden steps over to Elizabeth and whispers in her ear, "It's really you I want you know, she is my pawn." And with that he turns to leave. "Keep an eye on her", he tells Lynn.
After he leaves Lynn says to Elizabeth, "Gee, I guess he's all mine now! It's not that I don't like you dear Elizabeth, it's just that that man is sooo kissable! And you are the competition!"
