The Things I do
(at the thought of you)
At first it starts out
with me acting like a fool
shedding these tears
I have already cried
at the loss of you
Then it graduates slowly
to the things you did
your gestures, mannerisms, wit
bringing to me smiles
that no one has since
And I end again
with a happy sigh
for knowing you like I did
and with a promise
to move along
but with a determination
to keep the good you
in my head
