It's one of those days
When your bed is like a new lover
You're reluctant to leave their arms
And the novelty they bring
To continue with the drudgery of all others
The sheets hold you tight
But the duty of life
Pulls you stronger
So you do the morning routine thing
Dragging butt in unwilling complacence
Once you arrive to begin the day
Your longing for it seems even stronger
That concentration will not stay
And you daydream about them
Useless as a babe
CALDER WOLFE
