Abysmal Torment - Incised Wound Suicide
One of the best band ever to hit the brutal death metal scene nowadays. Hailing from Malta, along with Beheaded, these killers perform extremely. Released under Brutal Bands last March 2005. Guitars are well executed, their riffs are catchy and groovy, drums has massive pounding, in other words sick as fuck. Bass performance is great, it has its solo parts on track no.5 (Grotesquely Maimed and Cranially Disfigured). With two vocals guttering, this album's recording was good and well-balanced except for the vocals, they are kinda bit low on the volume. But if you're digging up this shit, please try to check this out. - Alan

Abysmal Torment - Epoch Of Methodic Carnage
The most anticipated release this year, 2006. This is the 2nd operation of these Maltese death grind maniacs! A great follow up to their Incised Wound Suicide mcd which re-released by the same label of this album Brutal Bands. If I will compare this album to their 1st mcd, it’s almost the same. I mean the velocity and intensity of the music are still there, enclosed by unmerciful blasting drums, razor sharp heavy guitars and great dual vocals that taking this band to the next level of extremity. The song structure is intelligently performed. You can find some tight moshing elements and killer breakdowns here! Also the cd artwork is fuckn' rule, done by Tony Koehl! This cd is really crushing! Acrotomophilia - Coprophagical Trauma
This band is compose of two Dutch men.. Recorded last december 2004.. A noise goregrind, drum programmed by Marc. Vocals are gravely delivered (also edited but its pathetic for me). its like an ogre submurged in a toilet bowl and struggling for air (hehe). The guitar riffs starting from the first track until the end are all the same.. Maybe that was "noise" was all about. There is a great thing i like about this album, one track's intro here is like an internet commercial,and it is called "Stupid spoil whore video playset".. Sounds like they are running a pornography..hehehe.. Apologies from you guys but i have to give you low ratings for this..First thing is I dont really like drum prog., although the recording is in good quality, but still there is a problem.. Ahumado Granujo - Splatter Tekk
This album contains 18 tracks and surrounded by blastbeats, massive grinding attack and fantastic vocals! The intros are all about funny techno stuffs/disco dance beats! hehehhe... it is weird but enjoyable and it gives some uniqueness to their styles. Ahumado Granujo plays typical goregrind with some mixture of Swedish crust and hardcore influences! The songs are quite crushing with amazing dual vocal ways; the pig shrieks and the screams which are greatly performed. The guitar sound is crunchy and heavy also the drums are tightly delivered and yet brutal... You better check this cd out and be sure that you have a crystal ball and disco lights in your fuckn' room!!! Take a short dance first! Hehehehe... - Gee

Here comes this one man band hailing from Greece.. Angelos is in charge of this sick recording process! I really appreciate his works and he is a quite talented person though... Thumbs up sickfuck! Brutal goregrind is the description of Autophagia, through uncompromising hammering blastbeats and deepest insane gurgled vokills! The guitarsound is pretty raw and crunchy and overall this has a quite good soundproduction. The cd features 27 of brutal goregrind anthems, but one negative point in this cd is having too many songs and it became a little bit boring! This 3 Piece out of Cali are back with more horrid, goresoaked album than their previous ejaculation. These fuckers play some sick ultra guttural slam death musick! That just mutilate your ears all through out. "Gouging Out Eyes of Mutilated Infants" have lot of progress if i take a cumparison to their previous ejaculations sound to musickal direction, they're not just playing brutal death metal in vein of Devourment but also bringing a pure essence of extremity throught the riffs(shitloads of slams and breakdowns), Drums(more hyperblasting on this one!) and utterly sick sounding gutturals and crickets,which happens to be my favorite part of this CD! Its quite clear that they have a good ear for writing some sick perverted and captivating tunes. The band spew their way through 8 songs in a little more than 32:25 mins.. Asphyxiate – The Process Of Mutilation
One of sickest death metal band hailing from Indonesia called Asphyxiate. This album was originally released by Indonesian label called Undying Music in a tape format. I don’t know if that label still exists. This album is re-released by Italian label called Despise The Sun Records, with new sick cover art by Chris Moyen and re-mixed/re-mastered sound! The songs are quite fast and brutal. Suffocation, and Disgorge US mainly influenced them in my view. With rapid blast drumming, shredding riffs and deep sick vocals.. The bass and drums are tight and heavy. I really dig the sound of the snare and the kick! Also the guitars are crunchy and well mixed. The vocals on the other hand are quite sick, not that varied or switching into different approach. Kinda standard death metal way but it really fits into their music. This cd contains 11 tracks and running over 20 minutes. If you are into Suffocation, Disgorge US etc... Don’t miss this one! - Gee

Beef Conspiracy - Hung, Drawn and Quarter-poundered
Beef Conspiracy is another crushing band from UK, combining the ingredients of death metal and grindcore touches into one concept, filled by tons of blastbeats and grinding onslaught. The fast tempos are really devastating with tight blasting drumworks and fast mincing riffs from start to finish! The gutturals and the high pitch shrieks are amazing. There are some cool funny intro's here, a lot of great catchy/groove parts and you can find a hint touch of Cephalic Carnage especially those progressive elements! Visualize that!!! Condemned - Self Titled
Condemned delivers intense grindcore with a good blend of hardcore touches. Their music is fast and brutal as well! And that's what grindcore is all about! I can compare them to grindcore bands like Dropdead and Nasum. Some songs are split seconds and honestly I'm not enjoying them! They have two vocalists; the first one is doing deep grunts with a modern gore vocal style and the other one is shredding screams. Great!!! The Guitar sound is raw and muddy! The drummer is fast as well! But I can't hear the bass drum especially those fast parts! But you can still feel the intensity of their music. This band kicks your ass off! Crustration - Justicia In Mundo
Crustration is another grindcore band hailing from Davao City, Philippines with a mix element of death metal influences. The song structure is smooth. there are cool catchy parts and too many fast paced parts with blast beats and grinding assault! with a raw guitar sound and tight drumworks! One of the song intros are taken from Walt Disney soundtrack! Cool!!! The vocals, on the other hand, is very aggressive, with chaotic high pitch screams and hateful harcdcore growls! But sometimes it irritates me! Because he keeps on shouting even in unnecessary parts! (that's my opinion!!!) But it's okay! There are no lyrics shown in the booklet. But if you will base with their song titles, obviously they are into political stuffs. The sound production is good! All instruments are pretty audible. This is the first release of Crustration which contains 6 songs! And they said that they will enter the recording studio this early 2005! So to all grind freaks watch out!!! - Gee

Damokis / Rengkong Tekeluaq / Perpetual - Uncensored
This is the first time i reviewed a 3 way split. Its kinda exhausting cause your goin' to hear all three of them with different kind of styles. Gee introduce this to me, so i give it a try.. Damokis is a type of trashmetal to me. The intro of their first track is like a news agency clips and a woman orating some malaysian language. When i continue listening, it has too much metal riffs with a little bit of grind. What i hate in this are tracks no.7 and 8, its like a soundtrack from a japanese anime "Voltes V". hehehe..For those guys who are interested to this type, try to listen to them. Rengkong Tekeluaq- This demo was last recorded december 2001.. Its like an aggressive punk band with a touch of grind, more screaming and it is very raw. I can't even hear the bass drum..This also contains too much intro's to their track with split seconds of musick. Some intro's are taken from cartoon shows and even samba / cha-cha shit tunes! hehe.. Thanks to Farid Osman and the rest of Rengkong Tekeluaq, i prefer good quality recording soon. Maybe I could enjoy reviewing it. Perpetual- A grindcore band from Sabah,Malaysia..an aggressive type. It includes a cover from Brutal Truth (Walking Corpses) and Napalm Death (Practice What You Preach). Fast as hell type of recording. The vocals are extremely executed growls! Heavy guitar riffs and superb delivery of the drums, with catchy and slam grooves too. It's like in the veins of Nasum. Further more this band contains 5 grinders with a massive type of musick. Hope to hear your full length soon and can't wait to review it.. And to all influenced with grind, check this guys out.. This band stands technical death metal with complex riffings and excellent technical drumworks filled with guttural vocals. The groove elements are catchy and the killer melodies reminds me Spawn Of Possession.It's very hard to classify the music of this band.. Maybe they got their own style? or what.. Pretty unique and remarkable! The soundproduction is top notch... Crunchy heavy guitars and clear drumsound. This cd features 3 songs running almost 14 mins. I have nothing to add about this band. Defleshuary - Feasting on Torso
Defleshuary is a one man band! Rick Shirk single-handedly took charge of the whole recording process. His use of a drum machine is obvious, find out for yourselves by listening to this cd. Honestly, I really don't know how to categorize this unusual sounds, the likes of Defleshuary's maybe it is an old school Death Metal blended with Doom Metal!? It's really difficult for me to review this material! Rick's vocals are pretty deep, and the guitars are well delivered! Not that heavy! It's just standard for me! Some intros here sounds like killings, murder etc... The downside of this record is the drum programming part. I've noticed he used almost the same patterns in most of the songs; it's kinda evident in the first few minutes of the songs! It lacks diversity. Not the same as other bands nowadays who also utilizes drum machine. I know Rick is a talented person he can still manage this music and I really look up to his courage to work alone! This demo have 8 songs. He added that Defleshuary now have a complete line-up! And he is doing the guitar/vocals if I'm not mistaken! Dehiscence - Demo 2003
It is very unique that a woman is contributing some bloodshed to an underground scene nowadays. This is what Kristina of Dehiscence was all about. Her musick are influenced in a goregrind type of executing it. This two track demo was last recorded on January 2003; she does it all, including drum programming and vocals. Guitars are not into crunchy style but it is heavily distorted. Vocals are well performed, you can't even say that it is a woman putrefacting it. Intense growls and superb pig squeals. Digested Flesh, the name says it all.. This is gonna be brutal and heavy as fuck!! Guttural-filled slams accompanied with ultra downtuned guitars and tight drum works make this 27 minutes of brutality. Hailing from New Jersey, Digested Flesh plays brutal death metal. Kinda in the vein of Devourment. They do have some occational blasting but when they slow things down, their musick is fuckin heavy. The vocals are disgusting gore spewing gutturals with a few putrid backing screams. Judging by the song titles such as "the answer to infection", Addicted to entrails" and "Intestinal ejaculation" you can expect some sick lyrics goin on here.. Down From The Wound - Self Titled
This disc contains 6 songs of intense deathgrind covered with remorseless blastbeats and rapid grinding onslaught! the music is obviously in American vein with some cool catchy harcdcore parts and a bit of old school touches (chug, chug, chug, headbanging parts) Hehehe.. This demo was recorded without a bass, and the sound production is decent. I think they recorded it in rehearsal spot if I'm not mistaken. The guitarsound is pretty thin and crunchy. The drums are executed well, you can hear the snare triggers and bass drum kicks! The gutturals on the other hand are in the vein of Matti Way(?) of Disgorge (USA). But for me, the downside of the vocals part is the screams and it is not my cup of tea. Anyway, this is just my poor opinion. You better check this band out of your own. they added that they will be releasing a 4 tracks demo very soon! So watch out for that and prepare for the 2nd annihilation! -Gee

DFTW/Dissimulate - Durog Na Mundo Split CD
Hailing straight from the north of the Philippines, Olongapo City, the entity that is Down From The Wound is comprised of three parts: Tristan(vocals), Jep(guitar), and Randyl(drums). Musically DFTW caters a massive dose of grindcore and some hardcore influence.(in my opinion) Guitars are heavy, drums are well executed, and of course this insanity would never be complete without the guttural/splat vox. They never lacked the aggression that a grind band should have... On the other hand, we have this young, talented band called Dissimulate. Ok sick fucks Dissimulate are into grind, with slight elements of death metal, but those are the less... They know how to inflct pain to the ears of the listeners... hehehe!!!! Ive'd been lucky enough to hang out with these guysmore than once and they are fucking great on stage!!! Overall, this CD is cool, the packaging is kinda DIY, but neat!!! Disastrous - Demo 2005
Death metal band from southern Mindanao. I don't know when this band exactly started but I'm pretty sure that they are one of those pioneering bands from their place. Disastrous plays mid-paced death metal with a good blend between some new school riffings and old school death metal (obviously influenced by Floridian death metal style if you ask me). You can hear some nice blastbeats and cool catchy parts! The vocals on the other hand are quite deep and powerful. Disconformity - Penetrated Unseen Suppression
Another Japanese brutal heads called Disconformity! After i reviewing the Rest In Gore demo, I thought that was the best demo I've heard coming out from Japan! But I'm wrong! Also this band got an excellent sound as well! Mixed and mastered by Keisuke Okada (Guitar/Guttural of this band) who also responsible in Rest In Gore demo. So we expect that this band got a killer sound too! Disconformity is armored with cool breakdowns, ultra heavy grooves, and pounding blastbeats! Also the sick gruesome gutturals of SHO-GUN is fuckn' attractive, and honestly I'm really impressed of his brutal works! If I will classify the musick of Disconformity, they have a great fusion between TXDM and NYDM style, but they still got the Japanese brutality! This cd is loaded only 3 songs which is the downside for me! I NEED MORE SONGS! Hahaha! I'm sure that the upcuming full-length is fuckn' atrocious!!! Disgorge - Parallels Of Infinite Torture
The album opens on a good note with the first song "Revealed in obscurity" slowly rising in volume until it reaches a good clear volume. Clarity. That's the first thing that i notice in this disc. I was really expecting from this killer fuckin band. Personally i like "Consume the forsaken" way better. Anyway Parallels Of Infinite Torture caters us 10 tracks of sickening brutal death metal... As expected, song structures are complex, with numerous rythmic changes per song and a quite technical work but the result still remains aggressive and brutal. 44 minutes of playing time,killer grooves and insane guttural vokills(although they are not quite as sick as Matti's) courtesy of Levi Fuselier which happens to be my favorite part of this CD. Doom Syndicate - Demo
With three song excreting your ears. Doom Syndicate is a cross over between grind and progressive metal. The Guitars are not so heavily distorted and crunchy. It is more into metal type of mixing. Drums are well executed. Fast and agressive. Vocals are into common growls and the other one is a screaming shit. This demo is truly quality one. I can't even say that this is a demo. Profesionaly combination with the tracks. Further listening to the tracks, somtimes i get bored because there are too much guitar solos. And its really not my cup of tea... It can't even spit my pancreas out! But for those people who are interested in this type, check them out! -Alan

Domination Through Impurity - Essence Of Brutality
Well, this band contains 2 members only! Jordan Valera (Lust Of Decay/Debodified) and Joe Payne (Lust Of Decay). These two sick talented musicians feed you something unusual sound compare to other US death metal bands! They have a quite unique style! For me, it is a good combination between Gorgasm and Spawn Of Possession (?) with more on faster parts, technical riffings and groove elements! Also you can find some astonishing killer harmonies here and the hammering drumworks of Jordan Valera are still remarkable!!! It's really hard to describe this kind of music provide by these two sick musicians. This is only my opinion! If you want something new, then check this band ASAP!!! - Gee

Dyscrasia / Putrid Pile – Split
Two amazing bands team up to bring some sickness in one cd… Both bands are quite recognized in the death metal scene. Let’s start with Dyscrasia… This band contributes 6 tracks taken from “Genocide of the Unborn”, fueled by sick gutturals and tremendous breakdowns. They also have some occasional blastbeats, and the groove reminds me a bit of Texas band Devourment, especially the slower part, that sounds really heavy and brutal... The 2nd band is Putrid Pile… A one man band, Shaun Lacanne is alone to take charge this fucking sickness! Spewing 2 studio tracks plus 4 live songs that taken from Maryland Death Fest 2004… Putrid Pile plays a good blend with old school and new school death metal that builds sickest and crushing material in death metal scene. Ebolie - Elevation Into Disintegration
This band came from Australia. And I'm amazed with their unique musical style. it is a combination of death metal, grindcore, hardcore, thrash and heavy metal. Grinding and blasting with some cool melodic thrash riffings and catchy ingredients.. Bubsy vocals are into hardcore way style. Some parts are into jazzy dance or sludgy tunes and it is a bit funny hehehe.. This band has a humor and it is quite surprising with their musical approach. It gives some uniqueness to their style. If you will listen to this band, you have to be open-minded or something like that! Colorfully cool cover artwork it's all about messy city hehehe! Embalming Theatre/Torture Incident - Split Organ
Hailing from Switzerland, Embalming Theatre provides 9 tracks of grinding mayhem! This band is a perfectly balanced between death metal and standard grindcore! Some of the riffs are much into old school death metal and typical grindcore style! The songs are kinda primitive but it is well arranged and delivered. And of course the intensity of the musick is still there. And the gruesome growls and screams are very impressive!!! And also they do cover song from mighty Terrorizer called Fear of Napalm! Great!!! So check this out! Let's move on with these Malaysian grindgods called Torture Incident. After releasing their split cd w/Brutal Insanity which is released by Malaysian label Reverb Prods, they are back with this Split Organ! This maggot eaters plays absolutely raw and chaotic, offers 11 songs of extreme grind/crust! The vocals are pretty deep (Not that ultra guttural) and it is into standard goregrind/grindcore vocals way! They play faster than Embalming Theatre. the sound production is raw but it is pretty audible, all instruments are well balanced! This band also do a cover song from Warsore - Intro Morbid, and from Demisor - Raised In Misery! Check this two grind bands and get your organs split! - Gee

Exulcerate - Remants Of A Cannibalistic Debauchery
Since these guys are from Texas, many of you might expect some kind of Devourment clone, but that's were you are wrong!!! Exulcerate plays mix of old school and new school death metal. I've heard that the band has Putrilage and Disembowel members in it. So if you dig the bands i've mentioned, you should dig Exulcerate as well... What i like in this CD is the breakdowns and grooves but what i dont dig sometimes is the "solos". The guitar gets boring particularly on the melodic parts. There are parts that dont really fit in at all. Check this one and get your personal opinion about it. - jamie
