Been away at my girlfriends for a week so haven't had chance to watch much porno lately, checked one out earlier Savannah Gold getting nailed, fucking hot girl with massive tits, maybe a bit fake but so what?! Big tits are Big tits, aslong as they aint scarred or wonkey big boobs should keep any man happy. Squirting rules man, porno rules so keep up the good watching. haha.
When and how Malignant Germ Infestation was formed? Is it a real choice to be a one-man band, or is just because you could not find any good musicians in your area?
MGI was formed WAY back, originally it was just me and my mate pissing about making shitty songs on a shitty program, it was all just for laughs it wasn't even grindy or anything but MGI properly formed in 2005 where i recorded a bunch of songs that were pretty sick and did indeed fit into the grind category. Not intentionally, i was just recording heavy/fast stuff and that's how it come out, the quality sucks on the demo but the songs are cool. hehe. Well I had tried doing several bands with local guys across the years i used to be in a band called Vivisection which we recorded a 7 song demo with but that's the only one that did any recording really. Doing stuff by yourself is a lot easier and you don't have to rely on other people so yeah it's cool doing stuff as a one man band but if all the right people came along i would like to form a real band doing MGI stuff.
Can you tell us why you have chosen Malignant Germ Infestation as bands name? Do you think it fits well to your musick style?
The name fits perfectly with the music style, in my opinion anyway. hehe. I always have real trouble coming up with cool names for bands/albums and songs but this one just came naturally! It's long and uncatchy but it's awesome. No real reason why i chose this name, I just thought it was cool and worked with the music so that's what the name that was decided for this project.
For apparent reasons it's almost impossible not to think of a band similar to Libido Airbag and SMES when listening to your music. I suppose this band has been an inspiration. What are some of the bands strongest musical influences?
Hmm i dunno really i just write what comes into my head but i'm sure plenty of bands influence the stuff. I listen to a lot of different types of music so it all comes together, on the later cd's this is a lot more obvious! There are acoustic guitars and CLEAN VOCALS! I know i can't sing but fuck it i done it! haha. I do like some Libido Airbag! Totally kick ass band but to be honest i haven't ever really listened to SMES so i can't say they are an influence. I always like to try and make songs stand out from each other to keep things interesting so there are a lot of different sounds and ideas.
How does the song writing process work for Malignant Germ Infestation? What kind of gear do you use? And how much time do you spend to mutilate a song?
The song writing process is actually pretty long, haha. First i have ideas of what i want the song to sound like then i make the drums first, so i program the drums so they sound cool then record 2 guitar tracks over the drums usually both the same but sometimes there are slight differences between both the guitar tracks THEN the bass is recorded over that. And throughout experimentation synth will be made at various times so after the guitars and bass are done the synth and samples get put on it somewhere and once that's all done i do the vocals. Vocals are the shittest bit in my opinion, definately most boring. This usually takes between 10 and 40 minutes depending on the length of the song. The gear changes throughout various releases but i use distortion pedals, different guitars, mics to mic the amp up with *i do it that way cuz i'm cool not cuz i don't know a better way! ;) haha* and all sorts of stuff. But this is all recorded onto my super powered laptop!
Tell us about Malignant Germ Infestation's ejaculations. What Germ Infestation 's release/s do you consider as your personal favorite? And what can you say about the bands that you've shared releases with?
My favourite release so far is the "Fields Of Forever Lasting Love And Joy" that will be released on Grindhead records within the next few months so keep an eye out for that one cuz if you have any MGI cd THIS is the one! The bands i've done splits with have all been really cool so far in different ways such as Vulvulator, Phlegm Thrower, Epileptic Fistfuck etc.... But yeah pretty much every band MGI has done splits with i've actually liked so that's cool to be doing cd's with bands who i like. I don't do splits with shitty bands. haha.
Unfortunately the only Malignant Germ Infestation release I have is the"For The Men Who Love The Women Who Love The Pain 6 way split" and I really enjoyed it. What can you say about this split?
That is a cool cd. That was the first proper MGI release so that was cool to see it came out so well and there are other really good bands on it aswell. Gis done a great job with the reelase of that split, It's cd-r but it looks pro and the book is all cool, the artwork is really awesome aswell lots of hot naked ladies. Anyone who follows MGI should realise that naked girls seems to be a running theme throughout the artwork i like to express my interest in naked women in other ways other than in the music making process! I doubt many fans have anything against that and if they do they are probaly gay or something. haha.
How came it to the Deal with Grindhead Records? Bubsy and Drail are great guys and supports their Bands as hard as they can, totally amazing. I bet you are satisfied with the Label. Same goes for Marco/Rotten Roll Records... Will the future Releases as well come out on Grindhead Records/Rotten Roll Records? Any 'Dream Label' for MxGxIx?
Yeah! Grindhead have been a totally cool label to work with! They work fast and produce good quality stuff and have been promoting and getting the disc around a hell of a lot. The split with Mangled Whore Flesh is the only cd they have released yet but they are working on releasing a full length soon and hopefully they'll do more in the future. So yeah i'm pretty happy with the work they have done for MGI so far! Both Grindhead and Rotten Roll Rex both have some really cool bands under their name so it's cool to be sharing labels with some really awesome bands! Hehe i dunno about a "Dream Label" man! haha. I will be having the paracocc.....split released by Rotten Roll/Obliteration Records. Obliterations is a really cool label that has several bands that i really like on such as Para...,Oxidised Razor and Butcher ABC so it's really cool to have them releasing stuff for me. I am satisfied with any label that does a professional, good job preferbly that send me a lot of copies for distro to! hah.
As we're talking about your releases, how did you get the opportunity to release a Split CD Paracoccidioidomicosisproctitissarcomucosis? Tell us more about this shit..
Wasn't alot to it really, i just had some new stuff recorded that needed getting out cuz i thought it was really good! So messaged around a bunch of bands to see who would split and Paracocc.....were my favourite who agreed to it so i messaged Naru from Obliteration and Marco from Rotten Roll to see if they were interested in releasing that disc and they were and are both great labels so i'm sure they'll do an awesome job and get that shit out soon!
How’s the new material sounding in comparison to the old stuff?
The new stuff is a lot better in my opinion, i think the songs are more catchy/groovy in places and the production is WAY better. If you compare the Mangled Whore Flesh split to the full length coming on Grindhead (when it's out) you will notice the production has got a hell of a lot better! Also i use better synths that i used to and better ideas so pretty much everything has improved i think. There is a lot of weird stuff is the newer cd's like genre mixing so hopefully the current listeners of MGI will be cool with it and not take it all to seriously! And of course enjoy it! We'll have to see when the time comes what everyone thinks of it.
Do you have a great admiration to serial killers?
Haha, not really....
Have you ever contemplated about how such serial killers feel about lyricist and gore enthusiast such as yourselves, using their twisted state of mind for lyrics and themes? Elaborate.
Nah, i haven't ever thought about that sorta thing to be honest. I don't really have any songs about serial killers specifically, there are songs of course about murder, torture, paedophilia and all the rest of that shit but i've never really based lyrics on specific stories or people i've heard about.
If you are to be a serial killer, who would you be and what sorts your will your victims be?
I would be me. And all of my victims would have to be hot girls of course, have my way with them and then make sure no-one will ever find out! ;)
And how would you like to die??
Man you ask some crazy questions! I don't think about dying to much you know? Would have to be in a really humourous way like having a disgustingly obese woman sit on my face until i can't breathe anymore or something like that! haha, i don't really have much idea about how i will die seeing i don't think about it often. hehe.
What do you think makes a good goregrind or grindcore song?
Hmm i don't know man. I like to hear a catchy riff (preferbly sounding heavy as fuck!) with a groovy beat underneath it. I always like something a bit different in a band aswell, i know it's becoming more common but i think synth and electronic drums do keep things interesting nowadays. A lot of these bands coming along are sounding pretty much the same now so i prefer listening to the older bands who are more original and who all these new bands are copying. There are a few new bands coming out here and there but not many, stick to the classics!
What is your opinion on people who completely pay no attention to the grind core genre as being a waste of aptitude and a hideous form of music without even listening to it much?
Well those people are just totally stupid really. I mean if they listen to it and don't like it then that's fair enough but people who don't even listen to it and are like "OMG dat iz r8 shit!!1" just need to actually know what they are talking about. I mean i know a lot of people who don't like this sort of music but that's their opinion but if they haven't even heard any they are just totally ignorant really. They can go back to their Drum n Bass or Emo shit. hahaha. Kids these days sorta just getting into music are just getting into all the really popular mainstream stuff and not really trying to find anything else so hopefully it's going to be left to the generation of grind fans now to keep this scene going!
What can we expect from the band in the near future?
Well so far there are Several releases planned including 2 full lengths, a compilation of the unreleased and extra stuff from previous releases and the paracocc.....split. So there will be new releases! Hopefully there will be more gigs and more CARNAGE!!!!!!! hahaha. Plenty to look forward to!
Are there any gigs cumming up for you guys? How would you describe Malignant Germ Infestation on stage? And how do people normally react to your musick?
Hehe we got a gig this friday (3 days time) so that should be cool. I'm sure it's gonna be a really cool night and we'll be putting on an awesome show, the last gig we done a couple of weeks ago was really kickass! We had Marcus PhD from Sperm Injection doing the vocals for us and plenty of crazy on-stage antics! We put on an entertaining show, as long as you understand it's not entirely serious then you should be able to get into it. There are pics of that gig on the MGI page and hopefully there wil be some footage of it sometime soon! Also the gig this friday i'm hoping to get pics and footage of it to put up! I dunno man, i aint seen any footage of them live. I got the feeling when we played last that a lot of people didn't know that we weren't serious and didn't really know how to take it but we do a lot of silly stuff on and off the stage during the set but i think most people into this kinda music would find it enjoyable.
Aside from playing in the band, what do you do during your spare time?
Haha shit all really. Just watch porn, see the girl and drink with mates! And watching Only Fools And Horses. :)
Which CD's would you say is essential in every goregrind collection? What kinda shit has been in your cd players lately?
Well recently i been listening to a lot of Oxidised Razor i got 4 of their cd's and they are really cool so anyone who wants cool cd's get any of theirs! I really think the XXX Maniak/Lymphatic Phlegm split is pretty essential to any Goregrind cd collection. Any Vulvulator stuff is cool. Also i did a mini review for Vomit The Soul zine about the Meat Shits - Sniper at the fag parade, that CD is pretty essential aswell. A few of my other favourite goregrind cd's would have to include Paracoccidioidomicosisproctitissarcomucosis split with Butcher ABC, Satan's Revenge On Manking - Goreblast, Gut - Singles Collection and ALWAYS some Mortician. I wouldn't really class them as Goregrind but any metal fan must have some Mortician CD's!
Ok bro that is all I think... If we forgot something, then you have the chance to mention it and thanks for the interview. :)
Can't think of anything now! But thanks to you for the interview! And thanks to everyone who has helped support MGI in any way! Stay Sick! Cheers!
