1. Hello ! How are things going bro?
.. Things are going well, we are preparing for next cd, very busy with rehearsal time besideour personal jobs.
2. Can you give us the history of the band, how it all started?
.. Well, actually Jasad have long story to tell...but me and Man are the newest addition in mid of 2000, and we agree to create new concept like what you've been heard on our first cd 'Witness Of Perfect Torture', and we are still want to have big progress since 'Annihilate The Enemy' out...so the new album will gonna more complex than all previous released.
3. Can you tell us why you have chosen Jasad as bands name? Do you think it fits well to your musick style?
.. Jasad mean pile of rotting corpses, I don't know if it fit to our style...but it pretty unique using Indonesian word as our band's name.
4. Are you guys now in the process of mutilating new materials? What are we supposed to expect with your upcumming release and how are you going to cumpare it with "witness of Perfect torture" and "Annihilate the enemy" ?
.. Man...the new material for upcoming album have unpredictable breakdowns, as far as we are still 80% blast beats and we will put catchy groove, it's more crushing than 'Annihilate The Enemy' I guess...
5. "Annihilate the Enemy" is out and it was brutal as fuck! Are You satisfied with the results?
.. Thanks for those words bro...actually there still lot of parts must to be fix first before we went to studio, and on final mix was too low so all the volume isn't to bright. But that was our lesson and experience...we must more prepared and focus on the new album, especially in mastering process.
6. Did you not have any other label interest besides Sevared Records?
.. There were 3 labels that in into our mind, Permeated Recs, United Guttural and last Sevared Recs, we did gave them all our offers and option and Sevared Recs win..haha Sevared Recs threat us well and fair...Barrett is a supportive dude and have large distributions too, I recommend this label to all of brutal death metal bands...give him best shoot !!
7. How is Sevared Records as a label? Has it done a good job promoting your album and your band? Do you plan on working with them again in the future?
.. Yes, we are excite to work with Sevared again for next album, we are on deal and negotiation for new album. About promotions...I don't think this matter must do by label itself, the promo things must be doing by the bands and labels and yes Barrett doing well in promotions. .
8. If i'm not mistaken, you released "Annihilate the enemy" during your country's civil war, right? Were you affected by what has happened to your country then?
.. No, we were on studio in Bandung and those idiot motherfuckers who hired by elite politician in Jakarta did made our country's name so bad, but it didn't affected to our bands...music is music and war is war, kind like that haha !!
9. Who does the cover art on "Annihilate the enemy" ? How does the artwork relate to the musick?
.. It's one of sickest Jonzig art... as you can see on the cover, there demons vs angels in war, describing that in these days situation...bad things will beat good things, you know what I'm mean...it's kind of evil will win the war. I'm not a satanic but I do believe that evil have huge power in recruiting human to follow what they want in here, on earth. Just simple like that
10. Hows the scene in Indonesia? Any new sick bands worth mentioning?
.. The scene is sicker than we predict...lot of new brutal death pop up like Digging Up, Pleural Effusion, Antrax, Prosatanica, etc, but we lack of event lately due to permission is very hard to get. So the scene looks like dying but the fact is not like that.
11. Any chance you could cum over to the Philippines?
.. Yeah, sure..why not. We looking forward for all South East Asian event organizer who interest in booking us for gigs or tours. Feel free to email me...we just need that airfares and a place where we can sleep.
12. At what age you started digging Metal musick? What is your favorite style? And what did you find to be so interesting in this genre?
.. Hhmm, let see...I started hearing first heavy musick when I was in high school about 16 years old, I forgot the years .. Napalm Death 'Harmony Corruption', Obituary 'Cause Of Death' and Suffocation 'Effigy Of Forgotten' made me like what I am today. I feel comfortable and satisfied when I hear death metal music because its unlimited agressiveness that push my weakness.
13. Who writes the lyrics in the band?
.. My vocalist did all the lyrics with our direction where should lyrics go...and we also create the patterns together when we have brief in our studio
14.Have you ever cuntemplated about how such serial killers feel about lyricist and gore enthusiast as yourselves using their twisted state of mind for lyrics and themes? Elaborate.
.. Damn this question rules ! I have couple friends who live behind the bar for 30 years because rape and killing woman when his age was 16 years old, now he is 20 and still feeling not guilty slaughtering his 3 girlfriends, when I visited him we talk normally, he knows about death metal and goregrind musick and he always laughing when he reads the lyrics, I don't know why...maybe he thoughts killing people not easy like usually wrote on the lyrics. Oh yeah...he told me that he has enough satisfaction and asked me to try it, absolutely fucking crazy !
15. If you are to be a serial killer, who would you be and what sorts will your victims will be?
.. I want to be nobody else except me, I'll choose and kill who I want...if my brain tell to kill you then I will do,
16. And how would you like to die?
.. How about commit suicide bombing at your place ? ahahaha...
17. Playing with tons of brutal bands on 29th & 30th of April on TDF is fucking killer!!! How excited are you guys to play in a such sick show? And what can you say about the bands that you're gonna share the stage with?
.. Well, it's our honour that Masakatsu want to give the stage space for us, but we have lot of problem starting from finance to permission shits. We working hard to grab some money and collect it for the airfares, and there are friends and sponseurs help us to solve the problem, it took lot of time to doing it, and now we have money for the airfares but in a same time we have problem with a Japan embassy, when we applied visa the embassy said that they need another document and data about the fest, a contract of both venue, schedule what we do when we in Japan which are all not listed in their official website. We brought all the document based on their website include TDF 2006 invitation letter. So the situation now is very frustating, we desperately want to play and hang out with Internal Suffering, Putrid Pile, Disavowed, Infected Malignity and Disconformity. Until now my vocalist Man still in phone contact with Masakatsu, Masakatsu had do a great job and help us alot, we are salute and apreciated for what he did to us. Hope our dream come true ...
18. What kinda shit has been spinning in your cd players lately?
..
