1.
Hey shawn, thanks for this interview Can u tell us about the history of Inhuman Dissiliency?
First off, huge thanks for the interview bro! Much appreciate it! Now as for a brief history... Inhuman Dissiliency actually started out as a band named, Perpetual Dismemberment back in early 2002. PD's brief exsitence was layed to rest only months after its beginnings due to a lack of commitment to make anything of it. A few songs however did get done before PD's downfall and of them, bits and pieces actually helped form what became known as Inhuman Dissiliency.
ID was brang to life in the summer of 2002. Shortly after we recorded a 3 song demo entitled, "Dismembered and Decapitated." Isn't a whole lot more to say here. The demo was distributed to many all over the world and recieved great reviews for fans/zines/etc. Ever since we have been busy playing live as much as possible and writing new material. Really nothing else to say.
2.
How can you describe Inhuman Dissiliency sound?
Death Metal. I really don't have any other way to describe it man. Its low tuned, guttural sludge. And its fun as fuck to play! Our music is/always will be wrote for the soul purpose of playing live.
3.
Why you choose Inhuman Dissiliency as your band name? What are the meanings behind of that sick band name?
Why choose ID as our band name? Easy, we are far to stupid to come up with anything else. haha. What is the meaning? Inhuman of course means brutal, savage... and Dissiliency is the act of dismemberment, basically. Its just a real tech way of saying it. There really isn't a whole lot more to say here. The name was used because everything else we came up with was either already used or was just plainly way to stupid sounding to work for what we were looking for.
4.
Many people said that Inhuman Dissiliency sound is very near to Devourment especially those killer breakdowns and slam grooves!!! What can you say about that? Does Devourment really inspire you guys creating brutal music?
First of all, I'm a huge Devourment fan, so thanks for bringing this to my attention! If we even slightly sound that sick, i'm just completely beside myself. haha
Devourment is definately a huge inspiration for me. Not as much the music though. Its their additude towards creating music that brings me the most inspiration from them. These guys are just so passionate about writing the sickest shit on the planet. And that i admire even more then the music itself. Great bunch of guys too. I'm honored to have them as friends. Inspiration of course stems from all over the place. There is just so much great shit out there, its damn near impossible not to find something you can get into. The whole underground scene is inspiration to us. Cause every note played is played with passion for the kind of music. And that my friend is inspiring in itself.
5.
What are your strongest musical and non-musical influences?
Some strong influences i'd say would be, Suffocation, Devourment, Napalm Death, Cannibal Corpse, Brutal Truth, Reeces Peanut Butter cups(fresh ones), Suicidal Tendencies, Saprogenic, Vomit Remnants, fuck for the matter the whole japanese scene, Guttural Secrete, Porn(Especially Todd with this department), Artery Eruption, Digested Flesh... dude i could go on for days with this one. Pretty much anything can be labeled under the influence catagory. We fucking love music. Always have and most likely always will. There isn't much out there that hasn't influenced us in one way or another.
6.
I know that you are working with tons of killer splits like w/Vomitous, w/Digested Flesh, and w/Artery Eruption, Cephalic Mortification! Any news or updates with those releases?
Yeah we got all these on the "Get done now damnit" list. As for an update, heres the best i can do.
Vomitous split: Last i heard there was a few things Vomitous needed to record before getting this mastered and to Barrett(Sevared Records). This is as much as i know on this.
Digested Flesh split: This shit is damn near done and ready to go. It is all recorded and mixed already. Just needs mastered and sent out to Tadashi(Macabre Mementos Records). So hopefully it can be released by the end of this summer.
Artery Eruption/Cephalic Mortification split: This is also damn near completion. Once again just needs mastered and sent to Barrett(Sevared Records).
I wish i could tell you more. But this is basically all i know at the moment. We do however apologize to all the people waiting to hear some new tunes from us. We will be putting one track from each split up on our Myspace page(www.myspace.com/inhumandissiliency) and on our website(www.inhumandissiliency.com) as soon as we get the mastered copy in our hands. Once again, we apologize for all the delays.

As I observe, I.D. drum programming is not exaggerated like other bands did that also utilizing a drum machine Any reasons behind that? What bands inspire you to use drum machine?
Well, to tell you the truth, we never really wanted to use the drum machine. We started using it just to get started in hopes a drummer would be found. So i can't really say that any band using a drum machine inspired us to use it. It was just one of those things. You know? There are many bands using them and using them damn good. But we never really looked at them and said, damn, we need to do this. The reason for not exaggerating the sound is simply, we just wanted a certain sound and that was it. We also wanted to make sure that when a drummer actually did step in, they would be able to do the shit. We basically just wanted to sound as close to a full band as we could. It was never, how fast can we play for us. Its all about the groove and breakdowns. And for that, there is no need for exaggerated parts. Its all in what you are looking for in your sound. And this is just what we wanted to sound like. Plain and simple.
8.
Are you satisfied with the result using a drum machine or you think human drummer is much better? What are the advantage and disadvantage of using a drum program?
I've actually grown to really like the drum machine. I wasn't the biggiest fan of it at first... haha But i'd have to say i'm definately satified with it. A human drummer would definately make the writing process much easier for me. But until i can find one to write with, the drum machine will do just fine.
Advantages: NO BITCHING!! haha Well, that is from the drummer. haha Cause there has been many cases where me and that damn drum machine was about to throw down. hehe Some others notable advantages i'd say are: Always at practice. Never cancels shows. Barely ever fucks off. Always ready to give it 100Ã No showing up to practice drunk, drugged, depressed, etc. Studio tracking! Fucking thing is like a machine. haha I'm sure we could go on here for ever.
Disadvantages: Having to stop writing to program it. Push the wrong button and the fucker gets real testy real quick. Playing live. Sometimes the house PA ends up being real small. Therefore theres no way the drums are going to be loud and that makes alot of paying viewers not so happy. haha One more thing to have to set up. As if theres not enough to do when you go up to play. I'm sure i could come up with more but these are the big disadvantages.
Drum machines aren't nearly as hard to use nor as unaccepted as they use to be. So using one is really no big deal nowadays. Thanks in part to the many bands that paved the way long before us. So there are many more advantages then disadvantages.
9.
its not hard for you guys when it comes playing live shows using drum program? Any tips to other bands also using drum program that want to play live?
Plug in and play! haha Its really not nearly as hard to do as you'd think. Most venues have some sort of sound man that has most likely already had to deal with a drum machine before. So most of the time, everything is pretty simple for live performances. Now we however don't like to play with out the sound files we have in our songs. So we actually don't play live with the drum machine for say. I end up tracking each song in a recorder with the sound files with them. And this however is not nearly as common to sound guys. So we bring as much shit as we can to make sure problems will not arise. The drum machine itself will most likely have some sort of output the sound man will be familiar with. So its pretty much plug in and play. Winning the crowd support is a different story all together. haha One pointer if you cant seem to win crowd support at all, show them your bare ass! That will get people to give you some sort of reaction. haha We've actually be very much blessed live. People just totally get into the shit. We are very thankful for their support too. Its not so easy standing there playing for yourself cause everyone is leaving. So thanks to anyone that is reading this and have given us support. You fucking rule!!

Im just curious, when did you start listening brutal musick? And how does it feel? Ehehhee
Bro, I absolutely love this music!! I started listening to it as a real youngster actually. Growing up, i ended up in the "bad element." Lucky for me too, cause even as young as 6 or 7 years old, i was listening to Slayer and Metallica albums. But it wasn't til i was about 11 or so when Naplam Deaths "Scum" cassette hit the streets. I was fucking hooked from that point on. Always needing to find the next heavy thing. Once its in your blood, theres no getting it out. I have to say though, those early years where a real bitch! Being young, poor, and having very little friends made it real hard to get new material in your hands. Nowadays the internet makes things so much easier for people to get this shit. Which is fucking awesome. Cause there is so much to be heard.
11.
If you have a chance or authority to create a new law in your country, what are those and why? Hehehe
I'm not much on this sort of shit really. I hate the law as much as the next guy, but without it, we'd all be fucked. So i guess you can say i'm pretty content with the way shit is now. Not that i can't be heard bitching about a law here and there. haha I do however realize the laws in other countries are pretty harsh to some people. So if there was any law i could make, i'd try my hardest to try to help them out. Cause they need it more the I.
Do i win the beauty contest? haha That sounds like an answer they would give. haha But its the truth.
12.
What are you guys doin aside in band? Any works, hobbies etc,,?
Not a damn thing. haha ...actually that sucks. No, really we don't do much. We don't live in the entertainment capital of the world mind you. Its family entertainment when a damn turtle attemps to cross the road. As far as work goes, Brian works for the state. He's that flagger guy that stops the traffic in those contruction sites along the road. Todd, hes a tattoo artist. And i work in a printing company. Printing teen magazines and shit like that. Its not a good printing company. We don't print anything good. Thats sadly about it. Yeah, we're losers. haha
13.
Name your 5 favorite bands and albums all the time
Damnit Gee!! You where doing great til this question. haha OK, this is so hard to do. Way to many to name 5. And i wouldn't even know where to start. So i'll name the top five cds that infest the most influence on me.
1. Devourment - Molesting the Decapitated
2. Suffocation - Is there one album? This band fucking rules!
3. Saprogenic - Everything they've done. I love this band!
4. Slayer - Everything once again. This shit is what really got me into heavier shit in the first place.
5. Fuck this is hard!
14.
What bands are you currently listening to?
I just got done rocking out to Rompeprop! That band is so sick! I mostly spin Guttural Secrete shit(if you haven't got the new album yet, GET IT!!), Saprogenic, Devourment, Suicidal Tendencies, Rancid, Disconformity, Last Days of Humanity, Gutrot, Orchidectomy, Defleshuary, among many others daily. I'm actually very open minded to music. I do enjoy some classical shit in my mix among many other genres. Way to much good noise to pass up. .
15.
Please give us your thoughts of the following:
Devourment: Some of the coolest people on the planet! Their music is just otterly INSANE! Wish i was listening to it right now!
Artery Eruption: Homies! These guys are really good friends of ours. Love the music. A blast to hang out with/associate with. Love these guys! They are family.
Hatebreed: Heavy music. Don't really know them personally. So i can't really get into saying too much about them. Totally dug their "Perserverance" cd though.
Black Metal: Not my thing. Got no beef with it and don't have any problem with it or the people that listen to it. I just don't fully understand it. So i stay away from it for the most part. Have some friends that play this sort of shit and i'm totally supportive of them doing it. Its just not really my thing.
Vomit Remnants: Slam! And Keisuke is one of the sickest people in the world! .
Corpse Carving: Tom is the man! Top notch website designs! This dude is the king at that shit. As for the tunes, i dig the shit. It really good stuff. I'm not the biggest fan of the guitar tone used on the recordings, but the songs rule.
16.
What can we expect from the band in the near future?
Well, a few splits of course. Hopefully a show or 2 near you! haha Playing live is what we do this shit for. So you will never really get what this band is all about til you see it live. We do hope to sooner or later release at least a mcd if not a full length. Nothing is really set in stone yet on that though. Splits help many bands, not just your own, so we dig the concept there. This is why we do it instead of a full length. Other then that, we'll just have to see i guess. Hopefully you will see alot from us. But only time will tell. Got nothing much planned. Except world domination. haha
17. Thanks a lot for your time answering this interview bro! Spit your last words cheers ..m/
