1. Hello Uffe! How are things going bro? How many pussy have you devirginized so far? Any disgusting/weird experiences you wanna share? hehe
Uffe: Hey Jamie, things are going fine, just woke up, tired as hell, I can hardly see what I'm writing so if I fuck up I got something to blame it on. Hm.. I'm not sure on how many I've deviriginized, luckily I've only had the chance to have sex with somewhat experienced girls, I mean, I dont understand the hype with guys going so excited about having sex with a virgin cause they dont know shit. Oh I've had experiences, but I wouldn't say that they have been that weird or disgusting.
Snuffe:Haha, Hello Jamie! Well mmm lets see how many? Well I've lost the count somehow around 45 or so! Any weird things; well I almost cut off my nipple when I was taking a bath. So I was bathing in my own blood! I guess you find that disgusting haha, but I don't! Gotta keep my Gore image haha!
2. How was the response been to your demo "Lock up your daughters? Are you satisfied with the results and did everything go as you planned?
Uffe: Well, I dont really know yet, we have just started to send out the demos to a bunch of zines and labels, so we'll see, but the response to our songs on myspace have been pretty good actually, better than expected. The result became alot better than we would've expected and we only used a few days to record this as well, but trust me, the next recording will sound monstrous!
Snuffe: Damn, it was amazing how people responded to our songs on myspace! They where so positive about it that we decided to release a demo! Well we have send them to some labels and zines and stuff! Just gotta wait for responses!
3. Can you give us a little background on the band members? Uffe, you are from sweden and Snuffe leaves in Belgium. How the fuck exactly was the band formed?
Uffe: Ok, I'm Uffe and my life is pretty much all about music. I've been doing vocals for about 8 or 10 years, something like that and I've done vocals in the following "big" bands: Stabwound and Cranial Devourment, but I've also done vocals for some smaller, less serious projects. I'll let Snuffe take care of the question on how the band was formed.
Snuffe: Well I have this other project called "Dial S For Snuff", its a Digigrind project. I was having a writers block and just played my guitar, programmed some drums to it and well I kinda liked the result and decided to form a new "band". Since I'm not a good grunter, I placed an "add" on myspace for a vocalist and/or lyrics writer! Well Uffe responded and we just talked about the band and we decided that he will do the lead vocs! I was so impressed by his style! You know he did vocals for Stabwound! I was like man what an honor, get it haha! And now its going like a train! I mean we wrote like 7 songs in 2 days! Well we never have to practice haha, because Uffe lives in Sweden and live in Belgium! We just do it via MSN and myspace haha, and that works just fine!
4. And how does the song writing process work for Devirginizer?
Snuffe: I started with some guitars and programmed some drums to it. Now Uffe writes lyrics first and then I do some guitars, Drums and record the whole thing! Then Uffe does his vocals and send em to me! I edit the whole shit with my computer and yeah thats the process!
5. Can you tell us why you have chosen "Devirginizer" as bands name? Do you think it fits well to your music style?
Snuffe: Yeah well I was thinking 'bout some names and I came up with Fetuphile or Devirginizer. I asked Uffe which one he liked most and he said Devirginizer so thats the history behind the name! By the way I dont like virgins at all! To messy, to sloppy and to damn unexperienced haha
6. What are some of the bands strongest musical and non musical influences at the moment? Devirginizing cunts seems to be a preoccupation with you guys...
Uffe: Hahaha, I wish! My vocal influences would probably be Matti Way, Last days of humanity and Antimo!
Snuffe: My sloppy guitar playing is influenced by Mortician, Gorerotted and some gore- and digigrind bands!
7. Do you have a great admiration to serial killers?
Uffe: Hell yeah, but Snuffe is the serial killer expert in the band.
Snuffe: Ok dont get me wrong but I LOVE em I mean its just so damn interesting how they think and act! Haha, yeah Uffe's right, I know everything about Killers! So better watch your back! haha
8. Your song tittles are gory and sick as fuck! Have you ever cuntemplated about how such serial killers feel about lyricist and gore enthusiast such as yourselves, using their twisted state of mind for lyrics and themes? Elaborate.
Uffe: Hm, I never have actually, but I doubt that they would care, I've never talked to or sent letters to a serial killer so I wouldnt know. But I find it rather fascinating as to WHY and WHAT drives a man (or even sometimes a woman) to do unspeakable and brutal things to another humanbeing.
Snuffe: Me neither, never wrote to one! Damn I should, thanks for the idea!
9. And if you are to be a serial killer, who would you be and what sorts will your victims be?
Uffe: I would be myself and my victims would probably be pretty random.
Snuffe: Oh, I like this Question! Well I would be a twisted necrocannibal But no strangling or such! I prefer the cutting and slashing! Just check the fbi files and you will see that they are after me harhar!
10. In my opinion, using a drum machine is the fastest and more practical way to record. Is there any possibility for you guys to have a real drummer or do you think you'll always use the machine drumming? =)
Snuffe: Oh I think so! Cause who can play blasts like that haha! Yeah drummachines rule! Sorry Uffe haha!
11. In wrting the lyrics, do you think it should be "gore" to fit the musick better?
Uffe: Not really, I mean, look at Dying Fetus for one, they are all political and it still fits. I think you could probably write about anything just as long as the listener doesn't hear what you are singing about hehe. Death metal and goregrind has always been about gore killing, death bla bla, so I guess it "fits" the music better and since I'm a big fan of horror and gore flicks it just came natural that this bands lyrics would be gore as well.
Snuffe: Its like Uffe says, dont have to be gore all the time! Its not that we're gonna sing about love and relationships!
12. Heres an easy one, Any porn flick you'd like to recummend? And if possible, would you trade for a copy? Ive got shitloads of local porn here brada!!! hahaha!!!
Uffe: Hahaha, an easy one? Well uhm.. I dont know, I actually dont watch porn that much at all, I got one movie to recommend though and that is "The Naked Stranger", I think it's from early 90's or late 80's. It's softporn though, but really sensual and I dig that alot.
Snuffe: I dont get excited by porn! Only by forensic pictures and corpses and stuff.
13. Back to your demo cd, how long did it take to record it? And what gadgets do you use?
Snuffe: Well 2 days haha Gadgets? You mean material and stuff? Well I rape an ESP Viper, A fender FM 212 R, a digitech Metalmaster and my computer!
14. I thought cunt was a big part of Devirginizer. Considering your bands name. hehe you guys are bunch of pussy lovers! care to cumment on this? hehe
Uffe: Over to Snuffe on that since he came up with the name haha!
Snuffe: I LOVE CUNT! haha, Well I like girls and stuff! But not just for sexual needs! But its hard to find a nice girl these days! But the best ones here in my town are at the cemetary!
15. Are you now in the process of mutilating new materials? If not, What other projects you guys are now into?
Uffe: Yeah I think that Snuffe has some new riffs going on and I always write lyrics as soon as I got nothing else to do. I'm also working on two other drummachine projects called Zombification and Coprolagnia that will be releasing a split sometime in 2006, I do vocals in both the bands as well, but they are very different from each other.
Snuffe: Im working on some riffs and stuff, so excpect some new material soon! It will be very different from the demo! More slow, technical and spastic.
16. Give us your thought on the following:
*Cranial Devourment
Uffe: A project that me and Tom from Corpse Carving did, we had some great ideas and spent many sleepless nights with that project recording vocals and shit, everything was pretty much random, but then Tom wanted to quit (yes, thats right, HE wanted to quit) because he thought that he didnt have the time and shit, who cares though, we never really got anything released and I dont talk to Tom anymore these days.
*Dial S for Snuff
Snuffe: Hmm, man this thing gave me headaches and sleeples nights haha! Well started out of boredom! Currently on a hold! Everything is done by me and on my pc! With Fruity Loops of course! Im signed to a label by the way, no actually 2: Orginlis records and Impure Knife! Check em out!
*Grindead webzine
Uffe: My first webzine that I started with my ex-girlfriend and also best friend, Sofie (that took care of the design), got in touch with TONS of good bands and even greater people thanks to that, but all things must come to an end and it pretty much felt like I was the only one in the staff that cared or really tried to support bands, so after about... 3 or 4 years we called it quits.
*Stabwound
Uffe: Man, I really had fun with that band, especially when the guy who formed the band, Ante, was in the band, but he quit and damn.. that band was all DRAMA in the end. I cant really express how much I hate the former members of that band, they would probably go in under my "random" victims if I was a serial killer. Me and Ante have talked about reforming the band, but we'll see what happens, havent talked to him for months since he has a bad habit of just disappearing and then reappearing every now and then.
17. One more.. What do you prefer, Shaved or unshaved cunts? Blonde or Brunette? hehehe!
Uffe: I prefer something inbetween, I mean, I dont want to have to peel hair from between my teeth and I licking a shaved vagina felt kinda weird, like tounging the crotch of a fucking 5 year old, yuck! I prefer brunettes!
Snuffe: Hmm well I prefer brunettes and redheads! I like em shaved but not everything shaved haha! Just a little hair so I can recognize her cunt from a 6 years old's cunt haha!
