| Wow. July 19th, That was the most amazing night on my life. Bruce was great. He played that song "Roses" you know; "I may be a one and your a ten but a won't tell a soul if you'll do me again!" Anyway after he sang it he said it was a song about gardening for all the kids in the audience :) I had a sign that said "Annapolis Valley Love's you" He commented on it and told everyone about Apple Blossom and went into Stan's Tune. Later I screamed out I love you and he said "I love you too!". It was sooo amazing. hehehe. Anyway, there was this stand before the concert started it had a whole bunch of Bruce stuff. So I bought a t-shirt and a hat and the woman that was operating the table told me I could have a picture for free (I had been telling her how much I liked Bruce and his music) and I asked my aunt who was with me which one I should get, she told me but I replied "But he looks so much hotter in that one" The woman started laughing and my aunt asked her if she was his wife and she said yes! OH I was EMBARASSED bad. It was really funny though. Even I wish I could have seen the look on my face. Oh well. :) He sang Dig In Deep, Iveys Wall, Good Love, Falling, Walk This Road, Something about Jesus and his Disciples, Hopeless and a bunch more. I met him backstage, there was only like 12 people who met him and we got pictures, our big sign, hats and t-shirts all signed. I got a hug and as we were getting our pictures taken I said "I am so uncomfortable right now" and he replied "Don't be uncomfortable, it takes the fun out of it when you are." We started talking and I told him we drove seven hours to see him and he said, "Wow, you shouldn't have. I'm honored" and we talked for a while after that. He so down to earth, it's just like he's my best friend. He does love his beer though; he was hiding it in the pictures..but when the camera wouldn't work he said "Guess it's okay if I take a swig of my beer now right?". He was amazing. I have lots more but I've already written too much Let me know what you think, but only if its nice. :P | ||||||||||||||||||||

| Hey all, what an amazing night. Surely not as good as Big Pond or Apple Blossom but amazing all the same. We got there at six, the doors opened at 6:40. My mom, Bit Na and Melody and waited paitently while picking out the hott guys. Gotta have something to do. Finally they opened and we went in, I sat beside quite a rude lady. Infront of us was a girl with black hair and my mom said that it might be his wife. I was like "No it isn't." And as I listened into her conversation (sorry) and looked more closely I found out it was! I was sitting right beside his wife. Well that was the first surprise of the evening. We watched the show, took part in fake applause, had to pretend we just came back from a commercial break, all that kind of thing. Bruce finally came out after 3 performers and sang "Songsmith". He traded jackets with the host of the show and it was to small for his shoulders let alone those muscles we saw. The whole crowd "oooooed and ahhhhhed" when he took it off. He finished, everyone applauded and he made a few comments about not wearing underwear as advice for the contestants. Just a question, why has he worn the same jacket to almost every show I've seen him in? I'm really starting to wonder.... Jimmy Rankin wore the same thing to the music awards as he did to both concerts, Julian Austion wore the same clothes in his video as he did in his concert. What's up with that? After the concert was over I asked his wife if she remembered me from big pond, she said yes she did and I showed her the picture that we got that night. She smiled and was very nice but I could tell she didn't really care. It was a very wonderful night, some great talent in the maritimes. Kim Stockwood, Tara Maclean and Davlyn Doyle (I think thats her name) was there too. Oh and Beth MacDonald. She talked about having a dream involving Bruce Guthro, a bed and a banana. Wonder what was going on there. His wife was laughing during all this. <--- a good sign. Well there's my review, I hope I'm getting better at them and I am starting to not go sooo crazy before a concert. |
