Prayer To Saint James
I'm not quite right at the moment
Harsh cold winds slice my face
Silence, so silent a deaf man could hear
A winter paradise, the virgin powder fluffs
An edifice near us where masses repent
We think we leave no trace
Of our presence here, our gazebo most dear
Why so much trouble for a few puffs?
Soon a crowded train we board
It's hard to stand your ground
Management steps in, all becomes well
When the ride is over, a longer path is revealed
Home is a sweet word when having soared
So off I go, homeward bound
Many times I almost fell
I thought I had my fate sealed.
But the thought of a warm bed surfaces again
Strong desires take a stand
Direct me towards the complex
Drag on as I deplete my energy
In the elevator, safe from cars, frost, pollution, the train,
Too high from the land
Reached the door and now could care less
I am safe now and nothing can harm me.
