Four

call yourself an ace
but there's shameless guilt across your face
hide behind your boss,
the master of cover-ups

you missed your target but you got a direct hit
you flying pig you should pay the price
you killed our pride and give us shit
what a random toss of the dice

rolled a four yet not quite twelve
but your government saved your ass
that fire was not so friendly
and you've got no class

This poem is dedicated to four Canadian soldiers who died in a "friendly fire" incident in Afghanistan. The names of the soldiers are: Sgt. Marc Leger, 29, Lancaster Ont.; Cpl. Ainsworth Dyer, 25, Montreal, Que.; Pte. Richard Green, 21, Mill Cove, N.S.; and Pte. Nathan Smith, 26, Ostrea Lake, N.S.

Update: On July 1, 2004 (Canada Day), Maj. Harry "Psycho" Schimdt will receive his sentence for the attrocious murders of four Canadians soldiers. He will not, however, be charged criminally.
