Yesterday I did a little web research on one of my favourite heroes: Phantom - The ghost who walks.

I got a big surprise when I discovered that his adventures are written in Sweden now. So, swedish have something else apart form astonishing blondes.

What I like most of this character is that he isn't the ruler of the natives, he is more like a friend or a police officer in the area. They cooperate to keep the jungle safe. He is not like Tarzan, acting like some demi god that must be worshipped.

The other thing I find fascinating is that this hero is actually a fraud. An ancient family of warriors, in cooperation with the tribes of the area, perpetuates the idea of this man who can never die. So they continue with this lie to protect themselves from foreigners.
