Blowing against the wind
A born-again atheist.
the natural religion - me as a prophet
I have been reading excerpts from most known religious books.
My conclusion: all of them are shit.

If you take The Bible, The Quran and The Talmud as a bunch of stories that serve well to show a particular situation and meditate, they are great. But I have used Shakespeare for that too. Really, I have. And I'm not trying to say Desdemona was Saint, the father of Hamlet is in fact God and Hamlet himself is Christ.

All religions fail in the same point. Being intolerant. All religions fail because they want to use faith over facts and the very same lack of coherence in their beliefs. No church is right.

I have meditated a lot and came to the conclusion that God must have not intermediaries. The communication between the individual and the deity must be direct. Then I came to what a priest would call a revelation, I call it a pretty nice idea. GOD IS THE ONE THAT ISN'T.

God is an axiom that serves to establish a knowledge system as solid as the one of science, only if you avoid conflict with science. I already started to write a deep essay on this subject but I want to let you with two ideas.

GOD IS THE ONE THAT HAS POWER OVER US AND WE CAN SENSE ITS PRESENCE IN ALL THE THINGS WE CAN'T CONTROL.

GOD CAN'T BE ASSOCIATED WITH PLACE, WEIGHT, SHAPE, VOLUME, ELECTRICAL CHARGE, ENERGY, SPIN OR ANY OTHER PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTIC.

I'll keep blogging on this.

I think in trying to say what GOD is, or wants, or desires - humanity has wrecked itself.

I started out Catholic. But I have gone away from that. After see all the struggles people have with WHO there diety is suppose to be, I'd rather just ignore it. Causes too much problem within this world.

Can there be a GOD? Sure. We must have developed somehow....but can ANYONE actually prove God's got a hand in how events turn out? No,God's allowing us to do whatever - if that is even a concern for GOD. Humanity attributes too many things to GOD: rules most of all. But when the faithful (and faithless) break said laws, who decides EXACTLY what punishment should be. And why should they?

I'm not saying we should ignore common decency, but TOO many want things to be ACCORDING to what their SAID GOD tells them.

Find yourself a peaceful place, where you can eat, live and make a living - and stop worry about what the OTHERS do, have or are doing....that's the key to a successful life. That is my word to humanity: lay off. Get out of my face!!! :)

Jajaja!

I love your way Jason. The only book I like from the Bible is the Eclesiastes and it says exactly that.

Everything is illusion. Eat, drink, sleep, don't work too much; those are the right things to do. I would add fuck to the list of advices. Yeah, find a nice girl and enjoy life at the Bahamas.

Hi friend! So refreshing to read your post here. As you may know if you've followed my blog, I am a very spiritual person and have been following a peaceful path for many years. I was raised as a Methodist and I consider myself a Christian, although now I would say I am more spiritual than religious. I have read nearly every religious philosophy and find beauty and truth in all of them. Taoism, Hinduism, Buddism and other Asian philosophies are particularly peaceful and freeing for me. The two books I reference in my 11/24 blog post have good spiritual information in them. In my opinion, it is best to learn more about whatever religion speaks to you and find your own truth in it. Also, I believe that God is in all of us. The spirit of God is not a distant being but rather here among us now, within us. Therefore, we don't really walk any particular journey in this life, WE are the journey, we live it, we breathe it, it IS us - and we are not going to arrive at any end point because we're already there. We ARE the destination - here, now. Can't wait to read more of your thoughts. Hope these help. :)
