      Gustavo Rios, Jr. is a native South Texan born in Mission, TX located in the Rio Grande Valley. He was raised and publicly educated in McAllen, TX. Via dedication, hard work, grants and scholarships, he obtained an Associate of Science in Computer Information Systems from South Texas College. He later transferred to Texas A&M University-Kingsville and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Computer Information Systems.       Gustavo, or Gus as his friends call him, has always loved, appreciated, and been involved in music through vocal expression as well as dance. He participated in solos, ensembles, local choirs, as well as choral organizations. His choral experience spans from his participation in the Texas Music Educators Association in Rowe High School. Gus' background in music has proven instrumental in nurturing his natural singing ability, passion, and talent.       Gus has always liked to share his gift with local communities through performances with choral organizations such as the Valley Symphony Chorale, Kingsville Community Area Choir, and currently the San Antonio Choral Society and San Antonio Mastersingers. His choral/vocal repertoire as a Tenor continues to grow and expand wherever his active, demanding, and flexible technological business career takes him. He has had the pleasure and privilege of having been directed by various talented conductors, directors, as well as educators such as E. A. Tanner, Dr. Christopher Munn, Sandra Glover-Messbarger, and currently Aaron Hufty and Dr. John Silantien. |
