Youth Group Classes
- Introduction to sabre fencing class for boys and girls ages 6 and up covers foundations that can apply to any of the three weapons (sabre, foil, epee). The program is geared towards helping our young fencers develop the right character traits, mental toughness and the physical skills to help them in competitive fencing and beyond. By providing child-friendly lesson plans and putting strong emphasis on fencing etiquette, we ensure the most conducive learning environment for our fencers. The class will also cover footwork, bladework, controlled bouting matches, as well as free fencing. Not only do our youth have a great time making new friends during evenings of fencing, parents are also happy that their children are spending their time in a healthy and conducive environment.

Designed to be fun and nurture a passion for fencing, our group fencing classes are held for 60 minutes. Games and activities are tightly integrated into the fencing classes to help children develop better motor skills, maintain focus and improve overall physical fitness.

HOW SAFE IS FENCING FOR CHILDREN?
At Z Fencing Los Angeles, safety is of paramount importance, which is why all fencers are oriented in safety rules and salle etiquette even before they are allowed to handle the weapons. With proper training and use of fencing equipment provided by us, our fencers will be safe and taught the correct respect for the weapons.
