Bio Guruswami Raghavan
is presently a Professor of Finance in the SDM Institute for Management
Development, Mysore, Karnataka State, India Previously, Raghavan was
with Indian Overseas Bank, a nationalized bank for more than two decades
and has worked in India and in Hong Kong. Raghavan is the
author of four books – An Introduction to Foreign Trade, Foreign
Exchange and Risk Management (Published by Indian Institute of Bankers,
Mumbai), Merchant Banking (Published by Alagappa University, Karaikudi),
A study on Foreign Contributions Regulation Act, 1976 (published
by Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, New Delhi) and Financial
Management (Pondicherry University, Pondicherry) He has a MBA in Financial Management and a PhD in Bank Management. Presently he is pursuing his Post Doctoral Research in Bank Management. He is also a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers. He has diplomas in International Banking, Financial Services and Bank Management from Indian Institute of Bankers to his credit Areas

In

“While
pursuing to update me to meet my professional commitments and
deliverables, I found it difficult it get hold of some knowledge in
certain chosen topics. I felt that a single source furnishing some
inputs on key areas would facilitate every one’s academic enrichment.
I then decided that I should collect such information and consolidate
and share it with every one through this medium. Hence this effort”
Why
power point presentations? “I
have chosen power point presentations so that the end user would be
provided with maximum content coverage with absolutely minimum word
content. Normally these power point presentations may not take more
than10 – 15 minutes of quality time”
An
honest admission
“Well. In my pursuits through many years, I have read many books, discussion papers, research papers, articles in magazines and newspapers. The inputs from these sources were extensively used to prepare these power point presentations. I admit many writers, authors, presenters have facilitated me with their inputs through these sources. I have very liberally and spontaneously used such inputs in some of the power point presentations. I am unable to individually acknowledge their efforts and mention their names in these efforts.” A commitment “In case, any visitor reader user finds that the topic or subject required by her / him is not in the list of power point presentations covered here, s/he can leave the requirements in the appropriate location.
