Eyecatch: Aya
A girl goes mad wile listening to music. Ryoichi jumps out of his bedroom window while listening to a Wonder X CD. Omi and Aya deliver flowers to a theater. They see Sakura and Omi leaves Sakura and Aya alone on the pretense of finding where to deliver the flowers. Sakura asks Aya about his sister. She asks him if she could come visit him sometime, but he tells her that he's very busy. Sakura goes to help some of the other workers. Crawford visits Kawaji Isao to congratulate him on the effects of his latest piece of music. Kawaji says that he's disappointed that only half of the listeners where intoxicated and plans to intoxicate everyone with his latest piece. Omi and Yohji eat at a McDonalds and discuss Aya's treatment of Sakura. Yumi goes mad and starts screaming. She runs into the street and is hit by a car. Omi and Yohji discuss the incident at the flower shop. Sakura arrives to visit Aya. Aya reluctantly goes to talk to her at a quiet restaurant. Sakura asks him why he has the same name as his sister. She tells Aya that she loves him, but he doesn't return her feelings. She asks what he does other than working at the flower shop. He tells her that he is not qualified to receive the love of others and leaves. Omi watches as Aya leaves and talks to Sakura. She hasn't visited the flower shop since talking to Aya. The news reports an incident of a man going mad, chasing some kids with a baseball bat, screaming gibberish, and then jumping in a river. Over one hundred similar incidents have occurred in the past week. Sakura practices for track. Omi finds the connection between the incidents. Ken, Omi, and Yohji visit the parent of one of the victims, Ryoichi, posing as his friends and ask to borrow a CD to play at his funeral. Weiss listens to the CD. Omi points out the abnormal frequencies in the music. Both Ken and Yohji are affected. The music affects the frontal lobe of the brain, which in turn affects the nervous system and causes states of derangement. Birman tells them about the composer, their next target. That night there will be a live concert of Wonder X's music. Fifty thousand people will be attending the concert. Weiss infiltrates the theater and finds Schreient. Aya finds and kills Kawaji as he fills the internal speakers with his new song. The music doesn't affect Aya because of an earpiece. Sakura sees Aya murder Kawaji and Aya walks away.
