Mission 17: Kritiker, Unnamed Honor

Eyecatch: Aya
Botan watches as Aya visits his parents' graves. Some people on the street burst into flames. Weiss opens the flower shop and Sakura arrives, looking for Aya. Botan gets into Aya's car and returns the key Aya gave Sakura. He tells Aya that Sakura comes to the shop everyday and asks Aya to return to Weiss. He refuses to leave Aya's car. Weiss is given another mission. This time the target is the Committee of Thinking the Future. Manx explains that Kritiker is using a fake, computer-generated image of Persia to deliver Weiss' missions. Her job is finished, and they'll be getting their missions from Birman from now on. Botan tells Aya about the mission and asks how Aya plans to find his sister alone. Aya asks a nurse about his sister's disappearance, but she refuses to tell him anything. Botan talks to a little kid. One of the janitors at the hospital is a Kritiker agent, and she passes Botan some information. They look at the disk on Aya's laptop and Botan points out a suspect in Aya-chan's kidnapping. Omi accesses surveillance camera pictures of the burnings. Weiss watches a video of the burnings and Yohji points out a woman that appears in each. Omi enhances the picture and they see a chemical spraying from her sleeve. Botan asks Aya about Sakura's resemblance to Aya-chan. He says that he likes Aya like family and asks Aya if he's only content helping his sister. They watch the male nurse suspected in Aya-chan's disappearance, and Aya asks him about Aya-chan. Botan pulls Aya off the guy and they fight. Aya finds a picture of Azumi, Botan's daughter, that Botan drops and returns it. Omi sends Aya the location of the target. Omi had found the chemical used and tracked it's sales route. Botan and Aya arrive there before the others. Schulderich is manipulating the Committee members. Crawford says that the process, not the result is what is important. Botan goes to stall the men until Weiss arrives. He is found and Aya comes to help him. The security guard fighting Botan is burned and Aya is shot. Botan tries to help Aya, but is shot numerous times. He's hit with the chemical they were transporting and burned. Weiss appears to help Aya. At the end of the episode, Aya says that he doesn't believe in destiny but he believes in Botan.
