In the Silver Millennium, Haruka was one of the guardians of the outer solar system. She lived in Miranda castle as Princess Uranus. She currently lives with her girlfriend Michiru. She is famous as a champion race car driver. She is an excellent fighter and extremely fast. In the manga she's an outrageous flirt. She has been mistaken as a male because of the way she dresses. She even wears the male uniform at Muugen Gakuen. She has a dominant personality and is very possessive. She can be blunt, callous, and unmerciful. She instantly disliked Seiya from the moment she met him, and continues to hate him through out the Stars season. She has performed duets with Michiru.
Haruka and Michiru first come in in the S season while searching for the Talismans and the Messiah. She does not believe that Usagi is the Messiah at first and is shocked when she finds out that Usagi is Sailor Moon. Even though she cares for Usagi, she still let Usagi's heart crystal be taken to see if she had one of the Talismans. She is only convinced when she fights Sailor Moon. Haruka is the owner of one of the Talisman, the Space Sword. She is one of the ones who supports killing Hotaru when she first appears. However, she changes her mind and is one of the ones that raises her. She leaves in the SuperS season to raise baby Hotaru with Michiru and Setsuna. All three care for Hotaru very deeply. They all return at the beginning of the Stars season. To try and stop Galaxia, Haruka and Michiru pretend to turn to her side. To prove their loyalty, they are ordered to kill Setsuna and Hotaru. Their effort is in vain, for Haruka and Michiru have their Star Seeds taken after they attack Sailor Galaxia. Their death scene is very romantic and sad.
Uranus' attacks are World Shaking and Space Sword Blaster. She transforms with the phrase "Uranus Planet Power, Make Up". In the manga she uses the attack Space Turbulence and transforms with "Uranus Crystal Power, Make Up".
