The flame dragons are formed from the spirits of past Hokage flame masters, Recca's ancestors. Each was once a living person, but became one of the flame dragons after their deaths. They are:
Nadare- She is the first dragon Recca receives. She is able to create fireballs.
Saiha- He creates a blade of flame from the opening in the side of Recca's tekkou. The blade can slash anything.
Homura- He creates a tornado of flame.
Madoka- He creates a barrier similar to a net to shield Recca.
Rui- She can change shape. Recca can use her flames as illusions to trick his opponents.
Setsuna- He has incredible speed but is also the meanest of the eight.
Kokuu- He arranged the duels between Recca and the dragon spirits.
Resshin- He is the spirit of Ohka, Recca's true father. He is the last Hokage flame master and the last of the dragons.
