Allen Shezar is the chivalrous Heavenly Knight of Asturia who first appears in episode 3. He is an excellent swordfighter and pilots the Guymelf Schezarade. Like Van, he learned swordfighting from Balgus. His father, Leon Shezar, left home when Allen was young to search for Atlantis and never returned. His younger sister, Celena, dissapeared when he was 11 and shortly afterwards his mother, Encia, died of grief. Both Hitomi and Milerna are in love with him at one point in the series. He was in love with Milerna's older sister, Queen Marlene of Fried, before she died. He also has an illegitimate son. (I'm not going to say who or whose though. You'll have to watch to find out.) He is also a Caeli Knight and commands the airship Crusade.
