ALPHA's start position was the PILLBOX and could camp in any of the 4 SW GRIDS around the plateau area.

BRAVO would begin close to the TRENCHES, with their assigned GRIDS being the 6 SE. This included SNIPER POINT and the fern fields.

CHARLIE would start at the GORSE BUSHES and could camp in any of the 10 GRIDS along the middle and low ground. This included FOXHOLES, PILLBOX, BEAR's BUNKER, TRENCHES and GORSE BUSHES.

The game would begin with a 10 minute CEASE FIRE, after which, anyone would be fair game. GAME ON:
COVERT INSERTION (on foot)
BRAVO:

BRAVO were unsure where exactly they would camp. So initially moved off SE through the shaded trees. They split up into 3 fireteams known as SECTIONs 1, 2 and 3.

Section1 included O.D. (SPETZNAZ) and
DODGER (SD5). They quickly hid their kit and went on a recce towards the top fenceline.
Section 2 was
STRIKER (MP5K) and STINGER (M4A1). They carried the flag. Section 3 had RAZER (FAMAS), CHOPPER (AK & MP5K) and LEMMING (non hop FAMAS). They carried the TAG POLE.

Skirting below sniper point,  SECTIONS 2 & 3 made it to the edge of the gorse. Where some of them dumped their kit. Before moving uphill to look for a campsite.

CHARLIE:

Starting at the GORSE BUSHES, they quickly moved off as a 4 man patrol downhill towards the Bottom Path. Evacuating the GORSE before BRAVO arrived, neither team saw each other.

Reaching the river, they slowly moved west. Cautious incase they bumped into another team, while they were encumbered. After a long trek (500m) in the sun, they reached their intended destination: SCAREY CORNER.
ALPHA:

Moving off quickly, S6 agreed that the PLATEAU would be their best option. ALPHA decided to take the "shorter" route up the main hill. So headed west to make their approach.

Carrying their bergans, they neared the FOXHOLES, before turning South and starting to climb the looming crest, known as the PLATEAU. This hill is a 1 in 1 gradient. Indeed the intense HEAT  (82 degrees) was taking it's toll.

Hitting the main slope, they struggled with their bergans, until locating the path on the fenceline.

Arriving at the PLATEAU, ALPHA placed their FLAG in the ferns, uphill. While their TAG ZONE was 75m away on the plateau itself. Scoring 3 points, they accomplished the COVERT INSERTION at 12:45 and set up their tents. Keeping their kit hidden, they only brought a small amount of food and water into camp. Then they set up in a defensive posture and awaited TASKS to commence.
BRAVO finished the INSERTION TASK first (12:30), after SECTION 2 placing the FLAG in a nettle thicket under a lone tree. SECTION 3 moved the TAG ZONE behind a low tree, on the east side of SNIPER POINT. However, they only scored 1 point, as they had strayed well over the DAY/NIGHT boundary. They set up their camp and bivies over 100m from the flag, nearer the Gorse Area.
SECTION 3 did a perimeter patrol, before sitting on guard. SECTION 1 moved off on a recce towards the PLATEAU. While SECTION 2 radioed their intention to check out the low ground.
CHARLIE had still not set up camp till much later. When they finally placed the FLAG in SCAREY CORNER. However, they were deducted a point for not having their TAG ZONE stood upright upon completion of the INSERTION. At 13:55 CHARLIE scored the 2 points to get them off scratch.
