Shyanne is Kathy Gunderson's horse. She was purchased in 2001, from a man in Missouri. Shyanne is currently 11 years old. We think she is a paint/missouri fox trotter cross. She has a bay tobiano pattern. We aren't sure who her parents are because she doesn't have any papers. Kathy shows her every now and then in speed shows and at the CCR Ranch Show. Kathy has owned Shyanne for 6 years now and has had tons of fun with her already! Shyanne is in between 15.1 and 15.2 hands high. She's a tank! She's big muscled and is a pretty horse to watch running out in the pasture or in the show ring. She has limited show experience, but tons of trail riding knowledge. Kathy takes her on family trips to Wildcat, Castle Rock, Black River Falls, Mountain, Prarire du Chien, Minnesota, and South Dakota! Possible plans for Shyanne this year are for Amy to show her in a speed show or two. She's a very fast turner and runner and can sometimes catch you off your guard. She also loves to work with cows, and seems to get so into them that her mind is totally focused on those cows in front of her. She is our only mare on the property right now and really loves hangin' with the boys. In the herd she's 2nd in command. Overall she's a very good horse and is a treasure to our family and herd. |
