KDS Highroller
Doc is Lonnie Gunderson's horse. We bought Doc when he was 5 years old. He is currently 12, and is still going strong. Doc is a chestnut overo paint gelding. His sire is High Dice Sonny, and his dam is Edens Impression. He has Sonny Dee Bar(2 Greats-grandpa), Skipper W(4 Greats-grandpa), Wimpy(3 Greats-grandpa), Leo(4 Greats-grandpa) and Peter McCue in his bloodlines. Doc is shown at pleasure shows, ridden in parades, and also on the trail. He can be shown in either English or Western riding classes. He last year for the first time was shown in a showmanship class at Dodge Co. Fair by Amy. He did pretty well for being taken out of the pasture last minute and being shown. Doc is a very sweet boy, yet can be very crabby at times. He is very funny to watch when he gets crabby, he just crinkles up his nose and makes himself look goofy. Doc also is an awesome horse to ride. He has that rocking horse canter, and a very smooth trot. If you ask him he can jog nice and slow for western, but also pick up that faster trot for English at the drop of a dime. He is very easy to handle, easy to ride, and extremely tolerant around new horses. He excels greatly in pleasure shows, and almost always brings home a ribbon. He has also for the first time ever been shown in a speed show last year in Ausgust at the Crystal Creek Riders Ranch Show.  Doc right now isn't doing much in the show ring or on the trail. He is just sitting out in the pasture taking a good long rest and enjoying life as it comes. Next year Amy plans on showing him in some more pleasure shows, and also at Washington Co. Fair in 2007. Lonnie plans on riding him when we go camping and so Doc will soon be back on the trail and in the show ring again.
