Summary of Act III, The Crucible

Gile and Putnam and Francis go into the cout, try to save their accused wives. The Deputy Governor Danforth would not listen to Gile and Putnam because their evidences are not accepted by the court, the only chance lied on Hohn Proctor. John Proctor brings Mary Warren to testify against Abigail in the court. Mary Warren failed to pretend to be conjured, like she did with Abigail before. Abigail, on the other hand, pretend to be threatened by a bird sent out by John Proctor soul. in front of other people. John Proctor forced to reveal his secret relationship with Abigail, but Elizabeth denied that his husband had that relationship with Abigail. May Warren saw Proctor lost his supports in court, then switch back to Abigail's side, testify against Proctor. Proctor cried "God is dead".
