Advanced Issues
This section of my little site here involves issues that other modern RPers go through all the time. Here, I simply put my idea's on the table along with some friends suggestions. Note, these arent offical or anything, nor do I expect anyone to follow these. This part simply puts some light on these issues.
Snipers
Many people belive it is impossible to snipe on Furcadia due to the small screen size and lack of long range communication. However, I know individuals that base their RP career on sniping and can still give off a good RP impression while doing so. The following are a few steps that I belive should be taken in these delicate situations:
   1) The actual sniping position must be verified by either the target of the attack or the dream owner. For example, if your target is in a building in the middle of a forest, you just cant claim there is a conviniently placed tower in a good location. If the position does exist on the map, you must be able to have access to it to use it (duh).
   2) You need to get to your position. If this involves sneaking past guards or individuals that would rat you out, you must talk it over with them in an RP fashion individually. This is important because faliure to do so can result in a messy RP argument afterwards on the topic that the target could have called backup.
   3) The character doing the sniping must have experience in sniping. Unless someone is walking them through it, a first timer probably couldnt hit the broad side of a barn. If the person has never used a rifle before, it may be a reasonable idea to increase the dice roll standards if you play with dice.
   4) Using OOC whispering, talk the situation over with the target. Discuss on wether or not dice should be used, factors that could infuence the shot (Bulletproof glass, kevlar vests, etc.), and weather or not the person legaly RPed their way past any guards or witness'.
   5) Should dice be used, a 3rd party must witness the dice roll by the sniper to make sure it was a legal hit. If dice are not being used, then good luck to the target...
Loaded Weapons
This issue is mainly the debate when a modern Roleplayer is in a fight with a non-modern Roleplayer. Naturally, a skilled gun-user would never leave his weapon unloaded. However, some people (myself inculded) keep their weapons unloaded for the benefit of non-gun users. As discussed before, the power and uniqueness of a firearm usually forces gun-users to treat them as "powerfull skills" that require preps. To increase the preps for the benefit of the enemy, some people keep their guns unloaded.
However, when two RPers are in a gunfight, they may agree not to keep their guns unloaded, due to the fact that their power over the situation would be equal. This would result in smaller prep times and more realistic gameplay, so it is often done this way.
Inventory
When people carry guns on them, they must be careful on the ammount they can hold. I'm sure it's safe to say that I'm not the only one that have seen people pull a minigun from thin air. Things like this also take effect in Medival style Roleplay. 5 longswords and a near limitless supply of throwing knives? Get real.
This is where descriptions come into play. Everyone should have a detailed description of their character, including where weapons are carried. This should also be described in the post itself. Note that the position of weapons on a persons body affects the speed at which they can be drawn. More akward positions require longer posts. Also, carrying too much should affect the speed of the person, as well as their dexterity.
Ammo
Here's an easy one. Guns have an ammo limit. People have a limit on how much spare ammo they can carry. Eventually, they have to stop shooting. Many modern RPer's, sadly, fail to acknowledge this limit.
When a gun is drawn, a small OOC description of it should be provided, which should include its ammo type and clip size. You should also make known how much ammo your character is carrying. When your out, dont cheat. Switch weapons.
Shot Rate
This one is tricky. How many shots can someone pull off in one post? It all depends on who is fighting, the situation the person is in, the type of weapon, and more. There is no clear answer on this issue and this should be discussed in the fight, but I belive that, in a standard pistol, no more than 3 shots per post should be fired. This is a question you should answer yourself.
Two-Handed Weapons
If anyone knows anything about guns, it's hard enough firing anything with one hand if your untrained in the use of guns. But I've seen people try to fire two shotguns at once. I could get into physics on how impossible that is, but thats another story. There's only a few types of guns I can see being fired with one in each hand: Pistols and machine pistols (Uzi's, for the ignorant). The rest.. dont bother. If anyone tries doing this, ignore them. My two cents
