Chapter 2
The creature was awakened from its slumber by a rustling outside its den.  It used it's eight bushy legs to slowly raise his heavy body, shaking the leaves from himself that had fallen in the night.  As the large spider suspected, there was a squarril digging around in the leaves about twenty feet from the creature's lair.  The spider slowly crept out into the open, the fine points at the tip of his legs allowing him to make minimal sound as he moved through the leaves.  The squarril, sensing something was up, looked up from the nut he has just found and stiffened, but the spider's green fur melded him perfectly with the leaves and the moss, and he too froze in place.  Suddenly, the creature was overcome with a wave of euphoria and forgot all about the squarril.  The moment soon passed and the spider looked up to see his breakfast was nowhere in sight.  Angrily the spider looked around for the source of the hex he had been placed under, only to be bombarded with the same feeling again.  It came in waves, each lasting longer than the last, until finally the creature felt as docile as a kitten and had no choice but to be so.

"I got him!" Sinafay cried as she leapt down to examine the spider she had tamed.

"So you did," Glass eyed the animal curiously.

Sinafay did the same.  "I can't stand spiders, why did I have to tame one?"

Glass shrugged. "Hey I don't make the rules.  The trainer in Dolanaar said you have to train three animals of his chosing.  I may be able to guide you in the ways of being a hunter, but he is an official trainer and his approval is required to get your official licensing to train pets to be your companions."

Sinafay sighed.  She felt all this was a waste of time, but at least this was the last of the animals the trainer had instructed her to retrieve.  She was now in her tenth season and only has a short amount of time left in Dolanaar.  She instructed the spider to follow her as she walked back to where the trainer stood outside the Dolanaar Inn.

The trainer inspected her animal carefully.  "Ah, well done Sinafay.  You have earned your license.  You may now release this animal if you want and choose any animal you desire.  However, I must warn you, your license only permits that you tame an animal equal or below your own season."

"Yes sir," Sinafay released the holding spell she had on the spider, it immediately then turned to attack her, only to be instantly cut down by a Dolanaar guard standing nearby.

"I have nothing further to teach you here," said the trainer, "You will achieve two more seasons here then move on to your next trainer who resides in Darnassus."

"Thank you!" Sinafay was excited to hear she would leave Dolanaar soon.  The place was too small for her tastes, much like Aldrassil.

She captured a small spotted nightsaber to be her companion for the present.  Glass instructed her that there was an even greater cat she could capture later, once she achieved season twenty-three.  For now, she and her small spotted friend, which she decided not to name in order to not get attached, fought together against the furbolg in caves outside dolanaar.  She achieved her two seasons fairly quickly as she had been instructed, and moved on to the great Night Elven capital of Darnassus.  They passed through the great gates, passed two ancients standing guard, and moved on to the inner city, towards a great tree shaped like a bear.  Glass explained that this was the bank, then motioned for her to follow him, up the long ramp towards the Temple of the Moon.  Sinafay was about to ask why they were there, when Glass pullled her off to the side and sat her down on a large stone within the temple walls.

"I must go," he said.

"Go? Go where? Why?" Sinafay blinked.

"There is rumors of a mighty dragon in Azshara that needs to be slain.  I intend to assemble my guild and undertake this opportunity."

"But what about my training?" Sinafay asked.

"You will do fine without me for a little while, "Glass smiled, "You have come a long way thus far.  I want you to spend two days in this temple, learning first aide, cooking, and fishing.  It will help you in the journey ahead.  Also, learn the ways of the Mother Moon, Elune.  She is a vast part of our lives and the priestess here can make you very knowledgeable in our religion.  After you have achieved this, go see the hunter trainer here.  From there you will pass through the portal and take a ship to the mainland of Kalimdor, to a place called Darkshore.  Train there until I have returned."

Sinafay raised an eyebrow at Glass, "Alright....you do promise you are coming back though?"

"I swear it," Glass smiled and mounted a great blue heavily armored cat, which seemed to come out of nowhere.  "I Still have to make sure you capture Humar the Pridelord after all."

And in another second he was gone.  Sinafay took a moment to glance around at her surroundings.  She had never been inside the Temple of the Moon before, and marvelled at it's beauty.  In the center of the large temple was a statue of a priestess, standing in the middle of a pool, holding a large bowl high above her head in ofference to Elune.  Water poured from it to the pool below.

"Greetings sister," came a friendly voice from behind her.  Sinafay had been so engrossed in the fountain she hadnt noticed the priestess approach.

"Hello!" Sinafay replied brightly, "Lovely Temple you have here."

"Thank you," said the priestess, "But it is not mine, it belongs to Elune.  What brings you to our temple?"

It was then Sinafay noticed this priestess looked odd, She didnt have the long ears customary of a Night Elf, she was very short, and has jet black hair of a medium length down to her shoulders.  "What....what are you??" Sinafay asked, hoping her sudden outburst didnt come off to the priestess as rudeness.

The priestess didnt seem surprised.  "I am human, have you not seen one of my kind before?" She studied Sinafay closely, "You look to be half human yourself.  I was rescued by the Night Elves long ago and was reared in this Temple.  I have since left to live in Stormwind, but I returned here on a visit. My name is Vlana."

"Sinafay," she answered, "Sorry if I was rude.  No I havent seen a human before, my father is a human paladin but I havent seen him since I was a baby."

"Ah," the priestess looked on Sinafay with a slight hint of sympathy, "I hope Elune leads you to him one day.  Now, back to my earleir question?"

"Oh!" Sinafay suddenly remembered, "I am here because my mentor says I should learn how to cook and fish, and perform first aide and further learn myself in the teachings of Elune."

"I see, smart mentor you have, "said Priestess Vlana, "Those skills will greatly assist you in the future.  In the latter I will be happy to instruct you.  As far as fishing, cooking, and first aide, I will show you to people who can."

So it was that within the next two days, with Vlana's help Sinafay learned all that Glass had suggested she learn.  She decided she rather disliked fishing, was very tedeous and since she wasnt very skilled, she often returned empty handed for her efforts.  Cooking she rather enjoyed doing however, and advanced far in the couple days she had to learn it.  She also became very skilled in first aide, learning how to make heavy wool bandages before her training was complete.  Vlana was very thorough in her teachings of the ways of Elune.  Sinafay found herself admiring the priestess's dedication.

When the two days had expired, Sinafay ventured out of the Temple and sought out the hunter trainer.  She found him on the pavillion near the entrance to Darnassus, next to the rogue trainer.  After she had learned all he had to teach, she glanced over and noticed a handsome young rogue also recieving his lesson.  She absent mindedly paid her trainer for her lessons, with the money her father had recently sent her.  She noticed the rogue next to her had very poor weaponry, two daggers made of wood.  She had bought two swords for herself earlier, but decided the rogue could use them much more than she could.  She extended them in offereance to him, introducing herself in the process.

"No thank you," he declined gruffly, "I don't accept charity."

"Oh this isn't charity, I was given these as a gift and already had better in the bank," she lied.

The rogue finally accepted and offered a thanks.  "What is your name?" Sinafay asked.

"Dranlo." he said shortly.

"Pleased to meet you."

"You as well.  Now I don't mean to sound rude and I am grateful for the swords but I must continue with my training.  I must also find a way to make some money," Dranlo eyed her, "Some of us don't have our Daddy's to pay for our training." And he ran off.

Sinafay was slightly aggitated by his insult, and decided to do something about it.  She made her way over to the Tradesman's Terrace within Darnassus and looked around for a profession she might be interested in.  She ultimately decided on learning the Skinning and herbing crafts.  They were easy gathering trades that she knew she could make a living on. She bought a skinning knife and a larger knapsack, as well as two swords to replace the ones she had given to Dranlo.  She also purchased more wool to make bandages and some potions in case she got into a bind she couldnt get out of.  She made her way beyond the bank and over to a large tree which held a portal to the outer rim of Teldrassil.  From there she walked across a long dock and climbed aboard a ship that took her to Darkshore.

And so it was that she continued her advancement, fighting all manner of creatures Darkshore had to offer.  She soon approached her twentieth season, and moved on to the much more beautiful land of Ashanvale.  Though the land was much prettier, it was certainly a good deal more dangerous than Darkshore, and she began to wonder if Glass would ever come back like he promised.
However, when she reached her twenty third season she didn't have to wonder anymore.  He suddenly appeared in front of her the very moment she reached it.  She shot him an angry glare and kept walking right passed him.  He reached and grabbed her arm sharply.

"Not happy to see me?" he asked, a little confused.

Sinafay jerked her arm from him, "I have gained eleven seasons of experience while you were gone," she snapped, "You mean to tell me it took you all that time to kill a dragon?!"

"Well no..." he started and was immediately cut off.

"And furthermore if you ever grab my arm in such a way again I will have my father break both your legs!"

Glass chuckled, "You don't even know where your father is.  In fact you wouldn't know what he looked like if you saw him!"

Sinafay shot one last angry glance in his direction and kept walking.  Glass soon skipped along behind her and apologized for his absence, explaining he had some things that had to be taken care of.  Sinafay reluctantly forgave him, and allowed him to take the lead.  He was leading her to the Barrens, in order to capture Humar the Pridelord, a great cat who would be Sinafay's companion for as long as she lived.  Glass cautioned her on taming this animal, for he was not only equal to her season, but an elite of the season as well.  He would tear her apart if she wasn't careful.

They walked in silence deep into Ashanvale, to parts Sinafay hadn't even seen before.  Glass suddenly stopped short and motioned for her to do the same.  She peered around him and saw a villiage ahead.  The villiage was made of wood and had massive totems all around it, with a fence burrowed into a stone wall.  There were two guards standing at their posts, however these guards were unlike any creatures Sinafay had ever seen.  They looked like cows, except, they stood on two feet rather than four, and were armored to the teeth.

"What are they?" Sinafay whispered.

"Tauren," Glass whispered back, "They are one of the races of the Horde, and they aren't too fond of us at the moment, it is best if we go around."

Glass lead her out of the Tauren's line of vision and through the underbrush of the forest.  He lead her to the wall of stone where there was a slight sliver of an opening in the rocks.  He slid through first, then she followed.  The land on the other side was quite the contrast to the lush forest of Ashenvale.  It was all flatlands with little to no trees, completely covered in thick yellow grass.  All sorts of animals roamed by in herds, without a care in the world.  Sinafay decided she rather liked the place.

Glass on the other hand looked like a fish out of water.  He walked very cautiously, half crouched to the ground.  Every movement Sinafay made he nearly jumped out of his skin and frantically motioned to her that she was making too much noise.  Sinafay had no idea what all the caution was for, yet she followed Glass's lead nonetheless.  Glass was tracking Humar and soon picked up the great cat's trail.  He rushed Sinafay along towards the coast of the country.

Sinafay grinded to a screeching halt and nearly fell over something that was hidden in the grass.  She looked down to see what had caused her to nearly smash her delicate nose and saw the ugliest creature she had ever laid eyes upon.  It was a man, of sorts, but he was huge...and a sickening shade of green.  He had sharp teeth and even two short tusks coming out of his mouth.  He was sleeping, and had a huge puddle of drool beneathe his chin.

Glass turned when he noticed she no longer followed and walked back to her position.  His eyes fell on the sleeping creature and he put a finger to his lips, picked her up, threw her over his shoulder and sprinted down the hill.  Once they were out of earshot he set her down and took a moment to catch his breathe.
"Was that...an orc?" Sinafay asked.

"Yes," Glass answered, panting slightly, "One about forty seasons below my own, but if he would have alerted his friends to our presence we could have been in big trouble."
"Oh so that is why you have been walking like a pussy, " Sinafay looked back, that was the first orc she had ever seen as well.

"Pussy?!" Glass glared at her, "I was merely trying to use caution.  And you...when did you get so heavy anyway?"

This naturally earned him another slap to the face.

They finally arrived near enough to Humar to begin the preparations for capturing him.  Glass cleared all the lesser cats from the area and shadowmelded into the bushes.  He instructed Sinafay to climb the nearby tree and do the same.  When Humar slowly stalked into view, Sinafay waited until he was within range and began to cast the taming spell.  This sent him into a wild frenzy at first and he looked around to see the source of the spell.  He waited too long to find it however, and hadnt even gotten fully up the tree before the spell was complete.  Sinafay had captured him.

She decided to rename him Drizzy after a childhood kitten she had once kept.  Drizzy was a beautiful animal, black fur with a huge fluffy mane, powerful fore and hind legs that looked like they could tear anything to sunder.  Sinafay gently patted him and gave him a fish she had caught.  Drizzy took the fish hesitantly, uncertain of his new mater's intentions.  Sinafay ran her fingers through his thick mane, and the great cat began to purr softly as he ate the fish.
"There see, I'm not so bad," Sinafay smiled and lifted the cat's head so she could look into his soft face, and was surprised in turn by the lick to the nose she recieved.

"You're too attached to that cat already," Glass rolled his eyes.

"Just because YOU see your cat as a weapon and not a companion doesn't mean I have to," Sinafay glared.

"Very well," Glass resigned, "You have your cat now let's leave this place before the Horde get wind we are here."

Sinafay pulled her hearthstone out of her bag and waved it slightly, "Not like it takes long to leave."
