| Since I accidently bought the computer game; Quake 2 back in 1998 and soon after started making all kinds of 3D levels(maps) for the game, using programs like Qoole and QeRadiant, I am getting more and more interested in 3 dimensional computer arts and texture design. I find it very exciting and a great hobby. I think this area of computer use is highly underestimated. I believe that in the future people will be meeting on the web in total 3D places of all kinds and not in regular chat rooms as we know them today, and I find that amazing. Or maybe I should say that 3D worlds will actually become the regular chat rooms of the future, where people will be controlling realistic 3D models of themselves. What do you think? Would'nt it be great to meet your friends that way in a ...say a realistic 3D map of your own apartment instead of meeting them on a flat white screen with black words on it? ...or in the White House? ...or in Heaven ...or Hell? ...I think it would be. Besides it gives people a whole new area of endless possibilities to express themselves. I added some useful links for this matter here and some links to download 100% free 3D editors to get you started. I've been told that the POV-Ray program is the best of those. ...What do I know ...I am still checking all this out myself. ...Have fun! :) |
