WRITING FAITH::

Faith, the Slayer was called after Kendra was killed by Drusilla. Faith grew up in Boston, Faith's mother (no other parent is mentioned while she is featured on the show) was an alcoholic, and has died by the time the girl arrived in Sunnydale California. She used to call Faith her little �firecracker�, but was too busy 'enjoying the drinking and falling down parts of life' to care for her daughter. All Faith wanted as a child was love, a dog and toys which she mentions while she and Angel (who was pretending) had tied up Buffy and were going to torture her. With Faith�s wild
Side, bad home-life and problems with authority figures it is quite possible she was abused as a young girl (sexual or mental either way) Faith turns to the other side when she accidentally stakes Deputy Mayor Allen Finch. (who she thought was a vampire) This signifies the �point of no return� in which she wasn�t able to find a way back, and just kept going.

FAITH RELATIONSHIPS::

Charles Gunn: Children of the streets both of these characters are hard on the outside some somewhere there is a soft spot they have. The relationship for these two is hard to write since either of them has had an onscreen meeting. Writing them will take a bit of skill and you�ll have to write about their common experiences of their pasts ( like them meeting earlier during her travels or meeting over a common fighting ground.)

Buffy Summers: Both girls are Slayers and have no one to confide in. Buffy�s friends might not have understood the Slayer life style, personal things she couldn�t talk about. Faith on the other hand has/had been there, being a Slayer herself she knew about fighting for her life and even in he end there wont be friends to be there when you die only you and the vampire/demon. Bringing Buffy along showing how fun it could be being a Slayer there was a subtle f/f subtext in the writing of the two characters

Angel: He is the only one who understands her dark side/ and redemption since he has been there himself. While he pretended to be on Faith�s side he was able to get through to her before Wesley was able to interrupt them and kidnap her, then loose her in the process. Faith wanted him because he was a link to Buffy, something Buffy loved and had. She didn�t want Angel. She wanted Angelus, a demon who hated Buffy and wanted her dead.

Mayor Wilkins: At first a boss-employee relationship then soon kindled into a father-daughter relationship. In the episodes Faith is uncomfortable, he treated her like a daughter, a feeling she never had till that. Which showed her vengeance after waking up and hearing Mayor Wilkins was dead by the hands of Buffy.

Xander Harris: A one time lay, he was easily manipulated and she crushed him when she blew it off like a one time deal

Willow Rosenberg: She was everything Faith envied��..a friend. Buffy had the friends the fame of being the real slayer and the family, things Faith had wanted. The potential of these being friends in my option would have been high except Faith had accepted the Mayors i offer to join his team.

Wesley Wyndam- Pryce: The Watcher who replaced Faith�s after she had died. She wasn�t too happy about having another who was completely by the book. He was strict and demanding something that Faith didn�t like. Kidnapping had broken their trust-bond little as it were it still broke it. Being pursued by the law firm Wolfram and Hart after she wakened from her coma she set out after Wesley and kidnapped him and tortured him.

Riley Finn:Authough in Buffy�s body at the time Faith and Riley�s meeting was brief. He was a link to Buffy and sleeping with him it had caused pain in Riley and Buffy�s relationship

Spike: Although in Buffy�s body at the time she had hit on Spike without realizing the consequences. This leads me to think she is the reason he is attracted to Buffy right now, but fell in love with Faith�s persona in Buffy�s body. The Spike/Faith chemistry definitely sparked a lot of interest in the Fan Fiction community which makes you think what a great couple they are together

Lindsey McDonald: Both were on the wrong side, both had had troubled pasts and were seeking redemption.
