| It all started out okay. I was and am quite content with these simple seats I constructed for the 1st and 2nd class. Naturally, 1st class will get red upholstery, 2nd class something plainer. |

| Then came the mock-up - and the realization that it would only be possible to put in five sets of seats if there would be no leg room! So, instead of two sets in 1st class and three in 2nd it will have to be two sets each. You can also see where I have been experimenting with the colour scheme. The total length for this carriage, and the accompanying 3rd class combine, is about 39 centimeters, or 15.5 inches. |

| And yes, this was a lot of wasted work: since I now go to four sets of seats the separation wall between 1st and 2nd class would run right through a window! So, this one, and its sister for the other side, will be put aside for a possible furture project, while I make new sides with four windows each. And here I was, thinking I had planned everything! |
