Front (L) and rear (R) views of a merchant's house. I used contrasting colours for the border stones and arches to contrast with the wall stones themselves for a nicer effect. The arches were created out of two different radius arches, you can see I used a much smaller one as the base. This building echoes the atmosphere of a medieval city, in my opininion. There are no windows at ground level, only upstairs, for protection. There will be a flat roof, the gables are, as sometime was the case, just for show.

With the molds supplying such nice columns and sloped pieces there just had to be a temple in a classical look. I based it on a larger base, so that there always is a town square in front of it.

Such a nice temple deserves a nice roof, so I decided to go for a copper sheet look. This picture shows the basic idea: The roof itself is constructed out of polystyrene sheet, and then covered with pieces cut out of a leftover sheet of selfadhesive paper labels. It was then painted gold, that's the stage you see it in now. The next steep will be to tone it down to the propper aged tone with a green and possibly a brown wash.
