Gungnir's Stuff
Easy Scenery - a Menhir
Are your druids looking for a place to worship? Or do you just need a landmark? This menhir does the job.

All you need is a dead CD, some sandpaper, a small piece of plastic, plastic glue, clean sand, some PVA (white wood glue), paint and flock. Oh, and a large pebble ofcourse!
Put your CD with the shiny side up, and sand it till it doesn't shine anymore. That ensures that everything may be glued to it.
Glue the piece of plastic over the hole, so nothing falls through.
Mix up some diluted PVA, about 10% glue, 90% water.
Wet the sand with your diluted PVA, but don't make it too wet. You do remember the best sandbox quality, don't you?
Shape a little hill of sand on the CD, and position the menhir.
Leave to dry for a few days.
Paint the surface around the menhir, if you want grass.

If yours is situated in in a sandy environment, you can add some pebbles, and you're ready.

I used a cheap semigloss enamel.
When the paint is dry, dab on some PVA and press in some flock, just so the surface comes alive a bit more.

When dry, drip or spray the flock with some more diluted PVA. That way, it can be handled better without losing all of the flock rightaway.

So, here we are, a simple but effective piece of scenery at hardly any costs.

Try it out, there are plenty of possibilities!
