The Portals of the Dead. Looking down at the swirling carnage of the gate of hell, Mission-X stood silent, its white armor a reddish hue from the reflection of the environment. A voice over the intercom startles him. It is Duo, a member of the Shadow Slayers, a sworn enemy of the Red Dragons.
" Well, it looks like another member of the Red Dragons is about to die," Duo says gleefully. At that moment a volley of Ghost missiles rain down on him as he tries to boost his way out of the line of fire. Mission-X flips around, bringing his twin buster rifle to bear. Not taking the time to get a bead on Duo’s extremely fast Panther gundam, he fires off two blasts from the rifle, but both beams cut through the air harmlessly to the side. Cursing at his bad aim, Saladin tries to fire another shot but before he can, Duo is directly in front of him, his beam scythe raised above his head as he prepares to deliver a swift killing stroke upon the unfortunate Saladin.
"NO!!!! SALADIN! MOVE!!!" A new contender. Not thinking clearly, Saladin doesnt move, but neither does Duo. Duo frantically scans the bloodred sky, looking for the intruder. There it is: the silhouette of none other than Apocalypse gundam.
"Damn it!" Duo thinks frantically." How did he know I would be here?!" After getting a quick reading on his power level, he realizes that Vash’s energy level is rapidly rising. Before he could do anything else, a massive beam of energy comes down on both Saladin and Duo. He was barely able to get his black hole wings wrapped around him before the beam hit. For a few moments, there was nothing but a white light, then an earth shattering kaboom. Mission-X was flung into the air, tossed around and around from the shockwaves. Duo was not as fortunate, the beam had hit him directly. as the white faded away, Vash looked down at the massive crater below him and surveyed the damage. The portal itself was intact, although damaged. Mission-X was laying a few hundred yards away, damaged but not out. Duo, who had just barley managed to get his black hole wings around him before he was hit by the beam was in bad shape. His wings were in tatters, the metal half melted and bent. Portions of Panther’s armor were black and smoking.
"Like my new toy?" Vhas said to Duo, elated at the aspect of duo dying by his own hand.
"Go to hell. It’ll take more than that oversized flashlight you call a beam cannon to destroy me," Duo snarled. Jus then he received a private message from Sharpie.
"Hey sorry about my lateness, but I’m here now so let me handle this,"he said. Not missing a beat, all twenty of his shadow missiles slammed into Apocalypse gundam, temporarliy hiding it in a massive, falling fireball. Vash landed in a crumpled heap. Saladin rushes over to him, thinking he is hurt, but he isn’t. "Saladin, the only way we will be able to defeat Sharpie is if we fuse." Vash says.
"Good idea"
The Apocalypse gundam began to glow, panels on it opening up in various locations. Mission-X did the same. With a sudden sinking feeling in his stomach Sharpie realized what was going on. Duo had seemed to recover enough to stand up, but was having a hard time doing that. "Sharpie," Duo says "We need to get outta here now. There is no way we will be able to take them on in that form."
Sharpie knew that with them fused, they were almost twice as strong as him. That didn’t mean he wouldn’t not try to do anything. The fusion wasn’t complete yet. There may be a way to stop it.
Activating the massive lionheart beam saber, he charged the glowing form of the almost-transformed Apocalypse-Mission-X. It was too late. As he charged , the glowing subsided and there stood a completely different gundam. The mere sight of it stopped Sharpie in his tracks.
" Say hello to APOCALYPSE-X. Rather nice, isn’t it? I think the red and white go together nicely."
"Sharpie, neither gundam is very fast. Even with their combined stats, you should be able to outrun them. And I think I have another thing to help you, since I am not in the best shape here." Duo says. And with that, the SD Deathscythe comes zipping into view, and lands in front of Panther gundam. "Hey buddy, there isn’t anything you can do for me, he needs your help now." Duo says to the SD. Acknowledging the statement with a beep, the SD takes off again and heads over to Hi-Nu. " What is that little bugger doing?" Vash/Saladin says."trying to interfere, eh? not this time." He fires a volley of rounds from his vulcans, but the SD’s small size and maneuverability keep it from getting hit. Now just a glowing blob, it shoots up above Sharpie, and then falls, landing literally inside Hi-Nu. With he SD fused directly to Hi-Nu’s reactor core, it seemed to come alive.Its eyes glowed a bright red, steam erupted from it joints, and the ground underneath it seemed to bedn away in a shockwave. To add to that, he wnet into super mode simoultaneously, doubling his power with that of the Organoid, whick put him almost as strong as Apocalypse-X.
"That was a nice trick, but you still arent strong enough to beat me," Vash said, drawing his Dragon Buster Sword. Sharpie repiled with Excaliber, removing it from the sheath, and charges at Apocalypse-X. Taken aback by Sharpie’s sudden onslaught, his first strike hits home, but doesnt do much. Sharpie jumps back as Vash fires his heat rod. Sharpie dodges it, then aims a vicious stab at Vash’s head. He misses, the blade passing to the side of his head harmlessly. Vash then opens up with his shoulder vulcans. They normally wouldnt have posed much of a threat, but at point blank range they were dangerous. The rounds punched into Sharpie’s armor, severely damaging it but not penetrating it. He stumbles back, and Vash presses the attck with his dragon buster sword. Sharpie regains himself and is able to hold off Vash’s strikes, but barely. So he resorts to fighting dirty. As Vash slashes down on him, he blocks the sword and draws one leg back and kicks Vash in the crotch of his gundam. It worked. Vash backed off ,surprised . Sharpie draws Lionheart and using both swrods, attacks. Now they were more even, Sharpie’s two swords and better speed keeping him at par with Apocalypse-X. But he couldn’t keep it up for long. With one hand, he slashes at Vash, their swords clashing. Then dropping to one knee, he flips lionheart around in his hand and shoves it into Apocalypse-X’s torso. The sword went all the way through him, melting through the gundanium armor like nothing. In his anger, Vash knocks Excaliber away and slashes straight down on Hi-Nu, through his left arm, still holding the Lionheart beam sword. Then he grabs Sharpie’s arm and starts beating him with it. Now on the ground getting smacked aorund with his own arm, Sharpie activates his verniers to full power, the huge thrusters lifting Hi-Nu completely off the ground and slamming it into Apocalypse-X. Sharpie’s shoulder spike rams into Vash’s chest, knocking him back. Sharpie, extremely pissed at that he was getting slapped around with his own arm, Vicously slashes Apocalypse-X over and over again, Vash unable to defend himself under the torrent of Sharpie. Finally, Vash is able to block one of his slashes, and they stand ina deadlock, neither fighter giving way. Sharpie felt himself weakening, the super mode slowly wearing off. The organoid was also not doing well.
"Sharpie!!! Move!!!!"
Not thinking, Sharpie jumps back, and for the second time in one day, another twenty ghost missiles come screaming in and nail Apocalypse-X. Duo comes running to him, activating his twin beam scythe. Not giving Vash a chance to recover, he aims a downward stroke next to Vash’s head, the scythe going deep into the gundanium armor.
"Sharpie, listen to me. Vash wanted to fight me. I receieved a transmission from Seifer saying that Gene is en route to our position to help Vash. Let me take care of Vash. If i don’t you will be too weak to take Gene on ans Seifer won’t be able to take him on by himself." Duo said.Vash, recovering, swatted him aside like a fly. But Duo got back u, and opened up with his stinger tail cannons, but they did nothing. Vash draws his(saladins) twin buster rifle and fires at the panther. Duo raises his buster shield, but the beam goes straight through it, blowing his arm off. Vash adjusts his aim, to the panther’s cockpit, as he pulls the trigger Sharpie is there, his angel wings taking the blast. Duo uses the diversion to quickly draw his beam saber and rushes at Apocalypse-X.
"Sharpie!!!Get as far away from here as fast as you can!!!" Dou yelled. Sharpie acknowledged, activating his verniers and boosting away, gaining some distance. Looking back, he saw the Panther gundam begin to glow.
"Damn it,he said to himself.
Then the Panther Gundam exploded, erupting in a white flash. He saw it disintegrate, watching it fade away to nothing. What he didnt see was Duo’s tiny form running away from the explosion long before the Panther exploded.
As the smoke cleared, Apocalypse-X was still there. Well, a smoking husk of what was once Apocalypse-X was there. Sharpie, back to normal mode, landed on the lip of the massive crater that was created by the explosion. As the cockpit opened, he got a transmission.
" Why are you getting out of your gundam? You still have me to fight." A familiar voice said.
Cursing, he looked up, the silhouette of the Phantom gundam above him
" Prepare to die"

Pulling out his twin Buster Rifle Gene takes aim and fires before Sharpie has a chance to get back into his gundam. As the smoke disperses though an Aries comes into view.
"What? Sharpie has no Mobile Dolls!" Gene grumbles to himself but before he can figure out who it belongs to the Hi-Nu rises up from behind the half destroyed Aries like an angel of death.
"Sorry Gene, but don't get to cocky against me." The Hi-Nu's still-in-tact arm extends out clamping around the head of the Phantom Gundam before firing off a good stream of fire before Phantom Gundam manages to slam the Twin Buster Rifle up against the Hi-Nu taking another shot blowing off the Hi-Nu's other arm.
With a rather charred looking suit Gene looks at the armless Hi-Nu through a damaged camera. "Well Sharpie, looks like you are out of luck. No arms, no more Super Mode while I still haven't even touched mine. Guess your reign of terror is done for."
Taking aim the Phantom Gundam pulls the trigger only to have the gun explode on him. "What the hell?!" Yet another interfeirance. Turning Gene sees yet another Aries as it pulls up its Chain Rifle firing it at the Phantom Gundam as it backs up taking place before Hi-Nu.
"This just isn't right." Gene rushes through his information on the Hi-Nu but sees no information on a Mobile Doll System. The thing is is that Sharpie is a bit confused himself but as long as it has Gene going nuts he won't say a thing.
Taking out his Beam Saber, Gene rushes forward ignoring the blasts from the Chain Rifle hitting him. He'll take care of this pest and finish up Sharpie afterwards. Swinging his saber the blast is blocked by a third annoyance.
As the SD floats there holding onto the fallen Aries' Beam Scythe the other one rises up slicing off the left arm of Phantom Gundam in Gene's shock. Yet recovering quickly and ignoring the pain in his arm Gene pushes forward nocking the weapon away from the SD while slicing it along the chest.
As the Aries backs away the Phantom just lets its saber fall as it blasts the MD with fire while rushing forward. Grabbing hold of the MD Gene crushes the heat-soaked head in a moment then turns his attention to the laughing Sharpie.
"Shut up! Your little pals won't help you now!" Gene was red now. Not only for simply being taken by surprise but that a MD and SD managed to take out one of his arms.
Between laughs though all Sharpie could manage to say was, "Look behind you."
Turning around he sees Nataku floating there. "I know what you're thinking Gene. But I couldn't miss out on so much fun. Just look at the smoking gundams here." Seifer grinned in the face of his death. He most likely posed less of a threat to Gene then Sharpie did with no arms his stats were so low in comparrison. "Oh, and those weren't mine. I found Duo with a lap top and some components of his cockpit and hid him in the hills. He won't be of any more help but I can be."
Not saying a thing Gene just grumbles and pulls out his other Twin Buster Rifle. Taking aim he fires only to have the blase explode halfway there. As the smoke clears he sees Nataku standing there with its own Twin Buster Rifle out.
"I'M SICK OF THIS!" Phantom Gundam turns gold and rushes towards Nataku.
Taking a shot at the Phantom Gundam that is easily dodged Seifer starts to sweat having realised how much over his head he let himself get. Stopping right before Nataku Gene takes aim noticing the suit begin to glow.
"Sorry Sharpie, I was hoping I would be of more help to you but this is all I can do."
"SEIFER, DON'T!"
Sharpie's plea was to late though to stop Nataku's self destruct. He couldn't grieve though for the guy for his battle wasn't over. Having Super Mode on and wrapping his wings about him though Gene still stood in a highly damaged Phantom Gundam.
Having figured Gene would have survived though Sharpie opened his leg missile container. Seeing what seemed to be an outline of a gundam in the smoke he fired 15 missiles and went charging after.
It seemed, too, that Sharpie had the luck of Athena currently with him for as the smoke cleared it was indeed the Phantom gundam that all 15 missiles hit. Gene had no time to react to any of it. Not the missiles hitting him or Sharpie ramming his shoulder spike into the suit smashing it into the ground.
As they stop sliding along Sharpie climbs slowly out of his gundam and looks the mess over. Sighing he kicks the suit then hops off some ways before taking a seat and wiping the sweat and blood off his brow.
"You know Sharpie, that was one messed up battle." Sharpie turns to see Gene standing on top of the fallen Phantom Gundam holding his Nagrarok. "Now you can't say I'm not a fair guy for if I wanted to be cheap I would have. In fact, here." Gene tosses Sharpie his Axe.
"I'd have to agree that was one messed up battle but I'm still alive as well and as far as I know you came here to finish up who ever Vash and Saladin left and I would be one of those guys you know." Duo walks along nonchalantly towards the two. "So how about it Sharpie? Take a break and let me handle him."
Sharpie grins. "Fine, just to be fair Gene either drop your weapon or let him take mine."
"No Sharp, it is fair. So how about it Gene? Tag along on my journey into HELL!!"
Gene doesn't wait for Sharpie to say anything. Rushing with blade forward he goes towards Duo. Being battle worn he realises he'd be just about equal with Duo but he has a weapon and Duo doesn't so it will be quick.
Sharpie shakes his head saddly at Duo's act. He could have at least borrowed the axe for the fight but it was to late to suggest it now. He knew Duo wouldn't want the charity, at least not this late in a fight, and that he'd rather die then have Sharpie jump in as well. At least he would get to kill Gene once Duo was dead.
What happened next though took both Gene and Sharpie by surprise though. As Nagrarok was thrusted forward Duo's hair and body turned gold and Duo dodged the attack like it was nothing.
"Forgot I knew Super Mode or just thought I wasted mine early in the battle like Sharpie?" Duo laughs and litterally falls onto his back as Gene swings the blade towards Duo just missing him.
Swinging his legs up and around Gene, Duo scissor-kicks Gene to the ground before springing to his feet. Jumping back up Gene yells as he sends a few more swings towards Duo; each one misses though as Duo continues to move backwards just out of reach of each blow.
With another swing though Duo steps forward as soon as it passes and slams his fist into Gene's gut causing Gene to drop his blade to the ground. Holding his stomach in pain Gene doesn't react in time to Duo's next move. Bringing his arm forward Duo slams his hand into the skin on Gene's neck and pressing in he grabs the Adam's box and litterally rips it out.
Sharpie stands up and grins going besides Duo. Duo, after wiping his hands on Gene's shirt and shoving them into pockets just lowers his head and says to Sharpie, "Damn, I'm gonna have nightmares after this one."
