Outside the remains of the White Fang Research Institute, Sabotage-Lex stood in a massive crater, with Raziel in the cockpit. As he watched the last building burn slowly down to the ground, he saw what seemed to be the silhouette of a gundam in the inferno, but his sensors hadn’t registered anything. He looked again, but saw nothing. Suddenly, he saw it. A chill ran down his spine as he realized what it was. Apocalypse Gundam stood on the edge of the crater holding a massive sword that glinted evily in the moonlight.
Vash, in his three-colored mobile trace suit, stood in the cockpit of Apocalypse Gundam, holding his Dragon Buster Sword. After Raziel noticed him, he opened a com-link to Sabotage-Lex. “Raziel,” he said, “you’ve managed to make quite a mess here. I’m afraid you’re going to have to clean this up.
Raziel drew his beam saber and said, I suppose you’re here to make me?”
“Something of that nature…” said Vash. Apocalypse Gundam began to blaze with blood red flames as Vash activated his super mode. He jumped off the ledge and charged at Sabotage-Lex.
Raziel ran in to meet Vash’s attack, but the second their swords clashed, the Dragon Buster Sword broke through the beam saber, cutting off Sabotage-Lex’s arm and sending it flying from the crater.
Vash opened another com-link. “Raziel,” he said, “have you ever heard those old stories of worldwide death and destruction? The fairy-tales of planets being destroyed in massive explosions? Well, now you get to see it in real life. Meet the only force on this planet capable of destroying a world. COME MY DARK DRAGON!!” A pinpoint of red light began to glow above Raziel. The light grew larger and larger until a hole began to develop in the center.
Raziel looked into the growing hole, and almost passed out from fear. In the blackness of the floating abyss, he saw every fear he had ever had. They flashed before his eyes in slow motion. Monsters, demons, the flaming wreckage of his home, and hundreds of other horrible images assaulted him, finally ending with Apocalypse Gundam itself. Suddenly, he snapped back to reality and saw a pair of glowing eyes in the dark hole. A massive black dragon swooped down and flew along the ground, leaving a trail of black fire. The beast flew up high, plummeted towards Sabotage-Lex, and swerved to its closing gate at the last second, leaving its flaming trail to incinerate its foe. The falling inferno sat Sabotage-Lex ablaze. The flames seemed to burn the metal itself until nothing was left but a charred spot on the ground.
Vash laughed and said to himself “Looks like I made a bit of a mess myself.” He de-activated his super mode, sheathed his Dragon Buster Sword, and strode off into the dawn.
